You’ve got plenty of options for your w🍬eapons, armor, and accessories from Officer Kurosawa at the police station in , but those are all fairly standard. If you’re looking for something a bit mꦏore powerful or exotic, stop into Mayoido Antiques, located not far from there in Paulownia Mall.

After opening following your July exams, the owner of Mayoido is able to trade you the gemstones you’ve been collectin♍g in Tartarus for some extremely powerful gear, the majority of which have higher stats and better bonus perks. Here’s a look at everything you can get at Mayoido Antiques.

What Is Mayoido Antiques?

When Does The Antiques Shop Open?

When you first head to Paulownia Mall at the beginning of Persona 3 Reload, you'll notice a few shops there aren't open yet. One of them, the one between Mandragora Karaoke and Aohige Pharmacy, is Mayoido Antiques.

It operated under a different name in previous vꦡersion𓆉s of Persona 3, called Shinshoudo Antiques back then, though the name change is never explained.

The store doesn't open until 7/18, and on that day, Ikutsuki will visit the dorms in the evening and give you a mysterious item, telling you to take it over to the owner of the antiques shop to see what she can do with it. Upon arrival, you learn that you were given a weapon blueprint, which the owner can now turn into a powerful weapon for anyone in the party.

But she doesn't want your yen in exchange for these weapons. As you've been going through Tartarus, you may have noticed your post-battle loot telling you you've been locating assorted gemstones throughout Tartarus, and though you've had no use for them until now, you're in🐓 luc🤪k.

Each item at Mayoido Antiques can be purchased in exchange for the gemstones you've b🌃een finding in Tartarus, with be⛎tter gear and items costing higher numbers of rarer gemstones.

Craft Weapons, Armor, And Accessories With Nihil Gear

When you enter the third block of Tartarus, known as Yabbashah, following your third Full Moon operation, you'll be introduced to a new type of treasure chest, which gleams with a green light. These are Nihil treasure chests, and if you're planning to upg💜rade your gear at May🤡oido, you'll need them.

Inside these chests will be one of three items:

• Nihil Blades, which serves as the basis for all your weapon upgrades.
• Nihil Cloths can be used at Mayoido to craft armor upgrades.
• Nihil Ores are the basis for your new accessories.
• Finally are Black Swords, tougher weapons designed exclusively to make weapons for your protagonist.

For every upgrade you purchase for weapons, armor, or accessories, you need one Nihil item that matches the 𝔉type of item you're trying to have the shop owne𒀰r create.

Find Nihil Gear Reliably In Monad Doors

The appearance of and process for beating the Shadows inside the Monad Doors, which also begin appearing🥂 in Yabbashah and stay prominent throughout the rest of the♏ game, is different in P3R, but it's potentially become more immediately valuable.

Now, after you've defeated one of the Monad Shadows, in addition to a regular treasure chest with rewards, you'll also receive one Nihil item per Monad Shadow you defeat.

You occasionally do find the Nihil treasure chests around Tartarus just like the other chest types, but these are far less common. The only reliable way to mak⛎e them spawn is to defeat a Monad Shadow.
