Persona 4 Arena Ultima♔x will be getting rollback netcode, but it won’t have it when it arrives next month. This comes straight from the mouth of Atlus producer Kazuhisa Wada who made the an♋nouncement yesterday on Twitter.
"It's been almost 10 years since the original P4A was released on PS3,” . “When we announced the new ports, we were amazed and absolutely thrilled by your response. Now, regarding rollback netcode, we're planning on releasing this feature in the summer of this year, so please look forward to it.
Rollback netcode has become the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:gold standard of fighting gam꧂es in recent years. Unlike delay-based netcode, which can appear extremely laggy if there is any latency between the two players, rollback netcode uses an algorithm to essentially guess what each player will do in the event of a desync. If the algorithm guessed right, the game contin🍒ues and neither player will notice anything. If the algorithm is wrong, the game goes back to before the guess was made and the two players continue from there.
For normal latency issues between players, rollback netcode algorithms have gotten so good that players can’t really tell the difference between playing online and in person. Rollback netcode is what you’ll find in the most recent fighting games and brawlers, like 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Nickelodeon’s All-Star Brawl and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Guilty Gear Strive, and soon it’ll also be in Persona 4 Arena Ultima𒊎x.
However, Persona 4 Arena Ultimax releases in March but won’t get its rollback netcode until sometime later in the summer. This could seriously hampe🌳r gameplay, and fighting gꩵame enthusiasts might even wait until rollback netcode is implemented before purchasing the game at all.
Originally released in 2013 for the PS3 and Xbox 360, Persona 4 Arena Ultimax was made in collaboration with Arc System Works of the Guilty Gear series. It was considered one of the best fighting games of the era and topped the Japanese sales charts soon after its release. Atlus announced an⭕ updated port for PC and PS4 at The 🎐Game Awards last year which will include all previously released DLC.
Persona 4 Arena Ultimax arrives on Steam and PlayStation on March 16. P🌠re-orders are available now.
