Persona 5 Royal Weapons Overview

During the earliest stages of Persona 5 Royal, you’ll be relying on the stock at Untouchables or the loot you find in palaces to equip the team. Each piece of weaponry has an attack stat, accuracy stat, and a potential additional effect.

Your Thieves all have two separate weapons to use for physical attacks – a melee weapon and a ranged weapon. Melee weapons are things like swords 🐟and whips, while ranged weapons are your guns slingshots.

The weapons you get in these two ways are definitely good and will carry you through the earlier parts of the game, but as the story creeps on and the difficulty ramps up, you’ll quickly want to look for more powerful weapons in the late game to accommodate.

Sacrifice Personas To Get Stronger Weapons

This is where the electric chair in the Velvet Room comes into play – in order to obtain the strongest weapons for you and your teammates, you must sacrifice the Personas that yield said items.

This will load the Persona you've chosen into the electric chair and shock them to death, when they'll leave behind any manner of items. This method of getting new weaponry will remove that Persona from your stock until you find, withdraw, or fuse it again, but it will also return some of the strongest weapons in the entire game.

And although it’s Joker performing these executions, you can use the chair to get strong gear for your whole team.
