How To Romance Someone In Persona 5 Royal
To get to the romance in Persona 5 Royal, you'll need to put in the time with the character you've got your heart set on - the option to date them typically happens at Rank Nine of their Confidant progression.
To do this quickly, be sure you're carrying a Persona that matches the character's arcana when you spend time with them.

Several of these Confidants have Mementos-related requests. These prohibit you from progressing their relationship further until said request is complete, meaning you'll often need to be prepared to fight for your love, too.
Regardless, when the requisite stage of your relationship has been reached, the game will insist you make a decision carefully when your next scene is playing out, which is your cue that it's time to make a move if you're interested.
If you opt out of a romance, you're not able to go back and begin dating the character later without reloading an older s💛ave, meaning you truly do need to choose carefully♔!
When the time comes, simply choose the option that sounds most romantic - this is usually pretty obvious, between the two choಌices - and your relationship will ﷺbe solidified for the rest of the game.
And we do mean for the rest of the game - there are no breakup options in P5R, so we sure hope you like who you're dating.
From there, you're able to engage in a handful of bonus scenes with the character of your affection that are more romantic in nature, like Christmas Eve plans or cute dates to s💜cenic spots arouܫnd Tokyo.
