Quick Links
Finally, the battle you’ve been waiting for throughout so far: it’s almost time to take on Masayoshi Shido, the uber-corrupt politician who got Joker sentenced to his time in Tokyo by being a sleazeball. You learn throughout the game that Shido is one mean dude, so by the time you’re able to start taking him down, you know doing so is going to feel good.
H🍃is ship was made a lot easier for Royal, but it’s still a long, winding trek through the ship before you can confront Shido directly. For help getting through Shido’s Cruise Ship, you’ve come to the right🏅 place.
For this guide, we’ll be focusing exclusively on the dungeon itself and not the goings-on outside the Metaverse. This guide walks you from your first step into the palace up to the boss fight.
Preliminary Information
Though your mileage may vary, we recommend being between Levels 60-70 before taking on this dungeon. Without question, it’s the toughest one you’ve come up against so far, and between how long it is and how many mini-bosses you have to square up against before you can get to Shido himself, don’t underestimate this palace.
With such a spread of affinities and weaknesses for the shadows milling about on the ship, it’s tough to pick one Thief who’s better than the other for this dungeon. Most of the affinities are toward bless and curse moves, but Akechi isn’t in your party anymore, so you don’t have to worry about that too much. You’ll see a fair amount of electric weaknesses, so Ryuji is a pretty solid choice.
As always, though, you ought to be using Joker as a catch-all for affinities you don’t have covered. With his abilities, you shouldn’t often find yourself without an element, so use him to your advantage. Hit the Velvet Room on your way in to stay on top of fusions.
As always for palaces, we've included an affinities chart for the shadows you'll be facing in here down below.

The First Letter: The Restaurant
After learning you’ve got to collect letters of recommendation to gain access to Shido, the gang sets off to begin finding them throughout the ship. The first location is in the Central Hall, so go to the Central Passage in the🐈 room that splits into multiple paths and head up the stairs﷽, down the first hall on your right.
This brings you to a two-floor ballroom, where you’ll be eavesdropping on patrons to learn about the restaurant. Your goal here is a door on the first floor of the restaurant, which is locked when you arrive – you need to be a member to get in. Time to find a Member Card.
Continue eavesdropping to track down where you might find one. On the second floor, right by the entrance to the room, you’ll hear a guest with a mask on talking about losing his card. Use Third Eye to see his footpath and 🌺follow it to the bar, where youꦐ’ll ask for the card.
Now that you can get in, you’ll meet your first of Shido’s VIPs in the restaurant, who, surprise, you have to fight to get the letter of recommendation. Above, we’ve included Poli🌺tician Ooe in our mini-boss table.
Defeating him rewards you with the letter. Your next VIP is in the pool, so finish u🍌p with this area and head north to find the elevator to leave.
The Second Letter: The Pool Deck
Introducing The Mice Puzzles
Inarguably the most irritating part of this dungeon is how much of it you’ll need to complete as mice. In rooms affected by a Shido statue, any intruder to his cruise liner will become a mouse, and your capabilities in rodent form are limited, to say the least. You can’t open doors, and in this weakened state, you shouldn’t try to fight any shadows.
In the first room with the statue, use Third Eye to find a vent. Unlock the door in the room you end up in, then heܫad to the big room with several doorways to proceed.
You become a mouse again in the big room, so head to the northwest corner for another vent, and use it to get into the room to the left. ꦬA teammaಌte will point out a switch, which stops the group from becoming mice in this area. Since you weren’t able to open doors as mice, becoming humans allows you to create shortcuts around the area to make life a little smoother.
In the south room on your map, you can find the elevator out of this area and up to the pool deck. If you’re hunting for Will Seeds, this is where you can find Shido’s first, so be sure to follow along with 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:our guide for Shido&rsq🌟uo;s Will Seeds for info on how to grab them.
Fighting For The Second Letter
The next VIP is the only person in a chair out on the pool deck, but he won’t speak to you at first. Like with the restaurant, run around eavesdropping until you find a⛎ woman on the opposite end of the pool wearing a mask. Ryuji will 𓄧have an idea, so head to the bar and talk to the bartender.
From there, go behind the stairs and use Third Eye to find a vent. Crawl through into the fitting rooms, 🅘where you’ll watch a scene before being able to confront the second VIP.
Use our affinities chart above to quickly take him out. They’ll try to brainwash your team to deal extra damage, so keep your head above water and take them out quickly and get the second letter.
When you’ve won the fight, head to the door on the eas💧t side ꦗof the pool to proceed.
The Third Letter: The Entertainment Hall
Mouse Puzzle
Welcome to another mouse puzzle! (Get used to these – there are still ღmo🍸re after this.)
Hit the saferoom in the Upper Starboard Hallway, then head down the stairs. While you were human in the halls before, you’re now mice out there, too. Additionally, you’ve also got cheese traps to use in mouse form, and getting the cheese will give you a bit of SP. Continue up the hallway until you find a vent and crawl through to become a human o🌟n the other side. Head southward until you reach a three-route path and 🌊go toward the bottom door.
There’s a switch in this room, but make note of the location, and don’t touch it for now. There’s a mouse-sized duct you need to use in here, so crawl through and watch for the shadow in the hallway. When they’re not looking, get out of the vent and head back toward the room you just came from to unlock the door. Now you can hit the switch, allowing🦂 you to open the next door at the southern part of this room.
Past there, you’ll find two hallways. The first unlock a shortcut to the switch, while the other leads to a room with a vent only accessible to mice. Become mice again to use the vent here, then head left and unlock the door when you emerge. Hit the switch agaiಌn before🌱 you leave.
There’s a treasure chest to be found if you avoid hitting the switch for a moment. There’s a vent in the southern part of the next room that leads to a dead end with a t💞reasure chest and a shadow. If you go this way, there are some doors you can use to get back out again.
Now, head straight into the big room ahead, then go right to find the final door. Unlocking it allows you to go anywhere you’d like in here, so go north through the exit to get to the Back Deck.
Meeting The Cleaner
The game tells you as you leave this area that the shadows that look like soldiers with armor are going to be more difficult than normal shadows, so keep this in mind when enga꧂ging them for the remainder of the palace.
As you’ve got another battle ahead, hit the safe room here to rest up and prepare before pushing ahead. When you get to the Entertainment Hall, you’ll be stopped by someone who sends enemies your way. He’s introduced as Extremely Vulgar Man and you'll find out that he's a VIP, The Cleaner, so get ready for a fight.
He’s got fire, ice, and electric attacks, so be careful who you bring to the fight. He doesn’t have strengths or weaknesses, so throw your most powerful moves at him to take him down. When you’re done, go through the door to the Entertainment Hall.
Fighting For The Third Letter
Once inside, go downstairs to find the slot machine room (which has a treasure chest if you head north), then go downstairs again to begin your next fight. The TV Station President will engage you using two G൲aruda in addition to his own shadow, so use our affinities table above to take them out quickly.
Defeating them rewards you with the third letter of recommendation. Go back upstairs and go through the door just above the safe room♛ to proceed.
The Fourth Letter: The Side Deck
This is easily the longest section of the dungeon so far, so we've broken it down into easy-to-digest chunks to help you keep things straight. You start this section with another mouse puzzle.
The only door you can use right away is the one in the southwest hall, so head there and go forward until hitting the locked door. If you go left, you can hit the switch for this area, so do that before going back to your first turn to find a vent. After emerging, unlock the door before going back and activating the switch again bef🔜ore going back to the room, where you can now open the door. Go through this door, then go right and unl🌄ock the door by the switch before heading left.
At the fork in the road, go to the north to find a switch in the northern hallway. Hit this switch and return to the last room to find another vent. If you’re hunting for Will Seeds, this is where you can fo🐼llow our guide and grab the💫 second one.
Regardless, get back to the room with the switch and crawl through the vent in herꦺe, where you’re now able to get back to the big room. Unlock the door in the south to find another vent, so crawl through it and become a human on the other side. Unlock the door ahead, and head on out.
Facing The Cleaner, Again
Activate the safe room once you get off 🐟the elevator, and be sure to top up the health and SP of your team, as you’re heღaded into another mini-boss fight ahead.
As you run through the side deck, The Cleaner stops you yet again for another fight. He’s now got an additional Baphomet in the mix, but oth👍er than that, the fight is the same as before. Handle him again the same way you did before.
Once you’re finished, heal in the safe room if needed before going 🃏onto – you guessed it – a mo🌃use puzzle.
Second Mouse Puzzle
For what it’s worth, this puzzle is shorter than the others, and it's your last one. You’re able to explore to find some loot around the area, but if you’re focused solely on the puzzle itself, this one's the shortest.
When you’re human, the shadows in this area give excellent XP if you’re trying to level up, so feel free to engage them if you’re grinding. You have some challenging fights ahead, so it's not a bad idea to train.
In the large room ahead, you’re turned into mice, but there’s no vent in here, so head toward the door on the left, become a human, and open the door. Once through the door, keep heading left until you’re forced to turn right, and you’ll see the switch. Hit it before going back to the big room, and open the north door.
Fighting For The Fourth Letter
Opening the last door here brings you back to the Central Hall, so hit the safe room if need be before going to the restaurant and speaking to the waiter by the entrance to get some information about the next letter.
Once you’re set here, go back to the Side Deck again. While the area looks like a dead end, use Third Eye to find jumping spots along the wall that allow yo♒u to scale the side of the boat. Climb upwards until you’re able to get back into the ship through an open residential suite door.
Ahead is the fight for your next letter, so be sure you’re all set to go before engaging the IT President. It’s worth noting that Oberon will keep summoning Titania if either of them go down, so deal with Ob𝓡eron first and then handle the T🐬itanias.
If you’re looking for your last Will Seed, you can find it in this area. However, now that you have your fourth letter of recommendation, you just need one more b🀅efore you can approach Shido. And who could be 𒉰the final VIP? Well, you’ve already met him.
The Fifth Letter: The Engine Room
Although The Cleaner has found you a few times already, now, it’s your turn to find him. Go back to the Side Deck again, by the portion that looked like a dead end. There’s a vent that💫 leads you into the Engine Room, and this is where you’ll bump into The Cleaner for the final t🅺ime.
Be sure your team is in excellent condition before crawling through the vent, because as soon as you crawl out, you begin to fight his goons again. The pattern should be familiar to you by now, but once you defeat his team again, The Cleaner takes off. You chase him, only to realize he’s locked himself insiꦕde up ahead. No matter – there’s a vent around the side if you climb the crates here to access it, so crawl on through to take him on one last time.
A not-so-fun fact about The Cleaner in this stage of fighting him is that he moves twice per turn. He’s got Mudoon, which has a moderate chance for an insta-kill on anyone who can be affected by curse moves. A surefire way to keep Joker alive is to equip him with a Persona that resists curse moves.
Outside of this, there’s no special tactic for The Cleaner, as he has no weaknesses to exploit. Hit him as hard as you can to chip away his health until he goes down. Once he’s been bested, he’ll offer you your fifth letter of recommendation.
Top up the party’s HP and SP before leaving The Engine Room. There’s another multi-phase mini-boss fight that triggers as soon as you leave, meaning that this is your only chance to heal before engaginꦉg i𒀰n another rather tough battle right as you leave.
Finishing Up
You’ve got one final challenging (and incredibly emotional) mini-boss fight as you make your way back to secure your route to the treasure. Finally, you meet Black Mask, the mysterious Masked Persona User you’ve heard mentioned a few times before.
The fight against him is long and specific, so we’ve got 168澳洲幸运𝕴5开奖网:a separate guide for taking on Black M🤡ask for you. On🍃ce you&🔥rsquo;ve handled him and watched the cutscenes, climb the stairs heading north before taking the door on your right.
Walk up to the golden doors ahead to trigger another cutscene, then interact with the panel to your right to be able to use the elevator. Watch one more cutscene before heading for the exit, where you’ll prepare to take on the m💖an himself – Shadow Shido.
