Can You Change The Difficulty?

joker on the difficulty screen in persona 5 tactica

Unlike in Persona 5, where you were relatively set on your difficulty if you chose anything other than the easiest option, you can change the difficulty throughout Persona 5 Tactica if you find you've chosen the wrong one at the start.

Are you having too tough a time kicking the ass you need to before you can reach the next stage? Or, inversely, are you a way better fighter than you remembered and the Legionnaires are proving too easy? Just switch your difficulty from the menu at the Hideout at any time throughout the story's campaign.

The five difficulty levels are:

  • Safe: "Safe mode allows you to enjoy the story without worry, as you can revive during battle an unlimited number of times."
  • Easy: "Easy mode has less challenging battles for players unsure of their skill"
  • Normal: "Normal mode is for those who want a balance between a riveting story and exciting gameplay."
  • Hard: "Hard mode is for the advanced player looking for advanced tactics action."
  • Challenge: "Merciless mode is for those looking for the most punishing experience, where a single lapse in judgment can spell the end."

There's no prize for finishing the game on any specific difficulty, so don't be afraid to play with which setting works best for you!

Higher-level difficulties typically require much more careful Sub-Persona, Skill Tree, and party formation planning, so it may be best to save this difficulty setting for once you're comfortable with the game's mechanics.

What Is The DLC For Persona 5 Tactica?

akechi kasumi persona 5 tactica repaint your heart

You'll see it directly on the game's load screen when you first launch Persona 5 Tactica, but Atlus released a few batches of launch day DLC for the game.

The most major one, Repaint Your Heart, is an entire story arc that sees 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Akechi and Kasumi both rejoin the group, and you're able to add them to your 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:party setups in the normal game after defeating their DLC.

Should you beat the Repaint Your Heart DLC before the main Persona 5 Tactica campaign, you can use Akechi and Kasumi in your party like normal, but they'll be notedly absent from any group conversations at the Hideout.

Team up with your Persona 5 Royal characters once again to clear additional challenge stages with toug🅷her, stricter completioꦰn metrics and confront a new boss in this colorful DLC pack.

Additionally, outside the Repaint Your Heart DLC, there are also DLC packs for Picaro-level Personas from the protagonists of other Persona titles, special weaponry, and more for an additional cost.

When Should You Play The DLC?

The Repaint Your Heart DLC is technically a prequel to the main story of Persona 5 Tactica, but with how involved the gameplay can be, it may be better to wait until you have the mechanics of the game down comfortably.

When you first begin the Repaint Your Heart DLC content, there's not much in the way of tutorial - you fight often and early in the DLC, so it's for the best that you come prepared with tactical battle knowledge and an understanding of the game's mechanics.

There's no technical "right" time to begin playing the DLC, but we'd advise at least getting through the first Kingdom.

This way, you have a full grasp on the game's core mechanics and won't be surprised by any of the challenging bonus battles ahead in the DLC.

How Many Kingdoms Are In P5T?

A screenshot of Marie in Persona 5 Tactica in silhouette

Instead of palaces as dungeons in Persona 5 Tactica, you and the Phantom Thieves will be battling your way through Kingdoms. Throughout the story, each major boss has their own Kingdom.

With four main bosses, you'll come across:

In all, within the four major Kingdoms in Persona 5 Tactica, you'll need to get through 52 Missions of fierce 🎀battle and ass-kicking to reach the end 𝓀of the game.

Finishing every quest in each Kingdom allows the fusion of special Personas inaccessible without 100 percenting each Kingdom, so if you're going for Compendium completion, be sure to get to questing!

Why Are The Phantom Thieves Glowing On The Party Select Screen?

party select screen in persona 5 tactica faq p5t

When you go to switch active party members between missions, you'll notice that any Phantom Thieves you didn't use in the last battle before this have a light blue outline around their character portrait on the party select screen.

This means that those party members are in Peak Condition, which they reach any time they weren't used in the fight before the one you're about to bring them into.

When a character has reached Peak Condition, it means they'll perform a bit better in their next battle with higher max HP and SP than they normally have in battle.

You can still use party members more than once in a row even when they're not in Peak Condition, but their stats will be as normal instead of the boost received from Peak Condition.

How Is Persona 5 Tactica Different From Persona 5?

joker and arsene posing as they attack persona 5 tactica affinities p5t

There are plenty of differences between Persona 5 Tactica and the regular Persona 5. For instance, in the regular game, you've got a full party of four once you've got access to enough Phantom Thieves, but in Tactica, outside when Toshiro joins forces with you, you've only got three party members to work with.

And it ties in directly to the biggest change between games - in P5T, you truly do need to fight more tactfully than in the regular Persona games. Additionally, that fight doesn't need to include Joker this time, either.

Where you can simply charge into battle and use careful affinity knowledge to knock out shadows in P5, Tactica requires that you sort out things like Cover, removing enemies from Cover, using One More Attacks to move across the board again, and more.

Thankfully, an added change in Persona 5 Tactica that makes this all a bit easier, though, is that everyone can equip one extra Persona, but just be aware that Personas work a bit differently in P5T.

Each Persona has one unique skill, and each can receive a secondary skill passed down from a parent Persona upon fusion.

168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Sub-Personas only ever have two skills max, but these can be anything from passive abilities that boost your fighting game, healing or support skills your Thieves don't normally have, or bonus attack skills that call on 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:different affinities.

Is There Romance In Persona 5 Tactica?

Unlike Persona 5 and Persona 5 Royal which feature full Confidant arcs with every character Joker meets during his year in Tokyo, P5T has no romance or friendship mechanic to worry about.

Gone are the slice-of-life segments you got to enjoy between palaces in P5R. While you can still talk to the party at the Hideout to gain additional information about the task ahead, there are no individual r♍elationship metrics in Persona 5 Tactꦏica.

How Do You Unlock The Last Skill?

lavenza introducing her special trials to joker final skill persona 5 tactica locked

Throughout Persona 5 Tactica, when you're unloading your GP into the precious skills in your Skill Tree that make battling that much easier, you'll notice that each Phantom Thief has a locked skill at the bottom of their Skill Tree.

These fall into their unique Persona's attacks in the left column, all the wa🎃y at the bottom under the single and multi-target variants🌌 of their elemental affinity attacks.

You'll need to unlock these final skills manually, and they're completely possible to miss if you're not doing the game's optional Quests along the way.

Once you've reached the Salmael Kingdom toward the end of the game, open the Quest menu from the Hideout, and Lavenza will tell Joker about the three special trials she prepared for each of ♚the Thieves to truly test thei🌳r might.

These challenges all have set party members you'll need to use, but finishing each trial unlocks the final skill in the Skill Tree for each of the Phantom Thieves in Persona 5 Tactica.

These will always be severe-level attacks that use the affinity that Thief has used throughout the game, and they typ🧸ically impact a relatively large a🉐rea.

Unlocking these skil⛦ls before your final fight with Salmael can help make the lengthy ba🍸ttle sail by a little faster.

How Do You Reset A Skill Tree?

joker's skill tree mostly filled out persona 5 tactica faq

If you're having second thoughts about how you've built up one of your Phantom Thieves, don't worry - you can reset anyone's 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Skill Tree at any time and rebuild it again as you see fit.

When looking at one character's Skill Tree, you'll see a handful of button options at the bottom of your screen, and one of them will wipe the Skill Tree entirely and revert it to a fresh slate.

From here, you can either rebuild the Skill Tree manually in accordance with what you need (sometimes movement is valued over outright strength in these Missions!), or opt to let the game autofill the Skill Tree for you.

This option tends to distribute your GP relatively evenly, with some poured into almos🅘t every column and very seldomly fully powering any one attack or ability.

If you're committed to max power, it may be for the best if you build your Skill Trees manually to offset the balance of the autofill.
