It would be a giant undertaking worthy of commendation to play all of them, but luckily Metacritic's algorithm is built to take the scores a whole bunch of ✅critics have assigned to them and mash them up into one big average score. Let's use this tool to figure out the 10 best the series has to offer!

10 🌱  Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 2 - Innocent Sin - 7ꦗ5

The original game 💎didn't receive a version in the west, but this one is available as a port for the PSP. The protagonist must confront the Joker, who is a character who's causing rumours to run rampant around town in a similar fashion to its sequel.

Some of the complaints critic♕s have about it are most likely due to it ꦛfeeling dated by the time the localization came out.

9 Persona 4:ܫ Da🏅ncing All Night - 76

Luckily the Persona series is known for having a really fun and interesting jazz soundtrack because that's what you'll be grooving to the second you boot up Persona 4: Dancing All Night.

It's a rhythm game, using the D-Pad, the analog sticks, and the X, circle, triangle, and square buttons on the controller. This seems like a really odd direction for the Persona series to go in, but if you like rhythm games, it's de🦂finitely worth a try!

8 Revelations: Persona - 78 🍨

Revelations: Persona is the first entry in the Persona series. It's also the first entry in the entirety of the Megami Tensei🐻 series to be brought over to the west by developer Atlus for distrib⛄ution. This game marks the beginning of some of the more Jungian psychological aspects of the game's lore and its mechanics.

The word persona itself is a psychological term coming from L𝓀atin and meaning "mask", such as the mask someone wears in pub🥀lic. The player's character is faced with supernatural incidents allowing them to use their personas to fight creatures that pop up around their town.

7 𝄹 Persona Q: New Cinema Labyrinth - 81

Featuring the protagonist Joker from Persona 5, this game is an update on the formula of the earlier Persona Q game.

In this game, we see the Phantom Thieves from Persona 5 meeting up with the squads from Persona 3 and Persona 4!

6 🅘 Persona 2: Eternal Punishment - 83

Persona 2: Eternal Punishment was originally a game for the Playstation One, although it did receive a remake for the Playstation Portable later. It's a direct sequel to Persona 2: Innocent Sin. The plot is about a woman investigating something called the Joker Cuౠrse, which makes𓂃 people's wishes and rumors come true.

You can use the rumor system to manipulate in-game events, and you have the ability to summon personas to fight your enemies in turn-based combat. The game does reuse assets from the first Persona 2 game, but it makes tons of improvem💦ents on most of the things critics had issues with in the original.

5 Personaꦺ Q: Shadow Of The Labyrinth - 83

Persona Q: Shadow Of The Labyrinth is a slight departure from the mechanics of the main series because most of its focus is on first-person dungeon-crawling rather than some dungeon-crawling with turn-based RPG fights, and it really doesn't have very many of the high school simulator elements that a lot of people seem to have issues with. It's a mix of the Persona play-style with Etrian Odyssey, another series with a long-time devoted fanbase created by 𓃲Atlus.

The story blends together characters from both Persona 3 and Persona 4. You also have to draw maps aไnd take notes as you explore, in addition to backtracking to collect keys, which some people saw as being to ဣthe games detriment.

4 ღ Persona 4: Arena - 8😼6

Persona 4: Arena is a spin-off of the Persona main series, but this time we see the characters from Persona 4 pitted against one another in🍰 a fighting game. It's the first in the series to stray from the role-playing game genre but seems to have done a great job given its score of 86.

The story mode is a series of fights 🙈between a bunch of visual novel segments, which some people who🔜 want to get straight into the action might not be a fan of. Aside from this though, the fighting sections are action-packed, with critics loving both the art direction and the gameplay.

3 Shi꧟n M🃏egami Tensei: Persona 3 FES - 89

Persona 3 took the SMT series into the mainstream

The original Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 came out in the US in 2007, after a slight delay caused by the art booklets. The plot revolves around the hour between the night and day, and the exploration of it by an extra-curricular high school club. Persona 3 FES includes an additional epilogu♒e which doesn't deal with the high school simulatꦯor type elements of the game.

This is one of🐻 the first games in the series to really play around with those elements, but the supernatural elements of the games received high praise.

2 Persona 4 Golden - 93 ⛄

Persona 4 Golden somehow managed to get the same score as the universally beloved Persona 5. This is probably because it's a port of the equally well-loved168澳洲幸运5开奖网: Persona 4. Persona 4 Golden got ported to the portable PS VITA, making it a great option for getting into the series on the go. There are also two new characters added 🐷with which you can interact, meani🐭ng more content.

The way the gameplay works is that the new characters have questlines you can follow to their conclusions. The🌌 art style has been praised, in addition to the music. The only issues critics really cited were load-times, and that it occasionally feels like the story isn't advancing quickly enough.

1 🐭 Persona 5 - 93 🍌

Atlus gave us the absolute treat that is Persona 5 on September 15th of 2016. This is most likely the main entry poi🌳nt into the series for people who are new to the series or JRPGs in general. The game plays like a mixture of a high school sim, a turn-based RPG, and a dating sim all rolled up into one incredibly convenient and polished package.

This game has achieved nearly universal praise and for good reason. The dungeon crawling is fun, the social aspects of the game are rewarding, and pretty much every aspect does everything you could want it to. The only issue is that Morgana is constantly sending you to bed, which is getting fixed in the168澳洲幸运5开奖网: upcoming update!
