Kasumi Yoshizawa is one of the newest editions to the massive cast of characters within 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Persona 5 Royal and has quickly beღcome a fan favorite among many. While her role as a Phantom Thief may not be fully unveiled until near the end of the game, she provides quite a significant role in the overall plot.
Players of both 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Persona and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Pokémon will be quick to point out the similarities in their "monster-catching" gameplay, making these games an easy target for fun crossover speculation. Which ten Pokémon would Kasumi likely catch during her Pokémon adventure?
10 Gardevoir
Many of Kasumi's character traits stem from her love from gymnastics, right down to her introduction within Persona 5 Royal's opening cutscene. She's often seen in more st🐓ylish dresses, which aligns with Gardeℱvoir's design.
Not only this but Kasumi's Persona, Cendrillon, bears a striking resemblance to Gardevoir, especially in its 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:powerful Mega Evolution form. Cendrillon uses light-based attacks in Persona 5, so Pokémon's Fairy-type is the꧟ closest option, making Kasumi a Fairꦚy-type trainer.
9 Gallade
Gallade would also fit well on Kasumi's team for a few different reasons. First off, without delving into heavy spoilers for Persona 5 Royal, Gardevoir and Gallade's sort of "💫mirroring" is similar to Kasumi and an🌊other character revealed during the main story.
Gallade also looks pretty similar to Cendrillon, and its Fighting-typing along with the use of blade-like attacks coincides with Cendrillon's use of moves like Vorpal Blade and Sword Dance, which just so happens to also be extremely close to a Pokémon move that Gallade can learn.
8 Zacian
Kasumi's main weapon of choice during battles is a sword, and Zacian having a sword of its own, as well as being a 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Fairy-Steel type, makes it a perfect choice for her. Whܫile it may be a lege✱ndary Pokémon, Kasumi would definitely have the skill to train at least one legendary.
If there's ever f💯an-art depicting Kasumi and Zacian fighting side-by-side, it would be absolutely amazing to see Zacian's🍒 sword replaced with Kasumi's signature rapier.
7 Lopunny
Looking through the hundreds of P🔯okémon in the gigantic National Dex, it can be argued that none of them would fit better alongside Kasumi's gymnastics routine than Lopunny.
Looking at Kasumi donning her Phantom Theif outfit and Mega Lopunny side-by-side, there's a 🦹clear resemblance in their attire, and it seems like they⛄'d be a perfect fit.
6 Aegislash
While we can imagine Zacian wielding Kasumi's trusty sword, what if her sword itself was a Pokémon? Seeing Aegislash be used as a trainer's sword iℱs extremely common in fan art, but that's because there's just nothing cooler than wielding a ghost sword Pokémon as a weapon.
Aegislash would replace Kasumi's standard melee attack with some of its most used moves such as Sacred ♉Sword or Night Slash, giving this Phantom Theif a huge boost in power.
5 Mawile
Mawile is another Pokémon that 🦩fits with Kasumi's trend of Steel/Fairy type preferences, which is quite the potent typing during battles. Mawile is coined as the "deceiver Pokémon" due to its initial appearance from the front versus its hidden set of jaws in its hair.
This can reflect Kasumi's double-sided nature as a polite, well-dressed student in the real 🌄world and a deadly, but graceful Phanto൩m Theif in the cognitive world.
4 Drapion
With both Pokémon and Persona being turn-base🅘d JRPGs, there's bound to be similarities in their battle systems. Kasumi's Persona, Cendrillon, uses Bless attacks, physical attacks, healing spells, and, in this case, critical-boosting moves.
There are quite a few attacks in Pokémon that boost critical-hit ratios, and this canꦰ be paired with the Sniper, which boosts the attack power of critical hits. Drapion is one of the few Pokémon to have access to this ability, and along with slashing attacks such as Night Slash and X-Scissor, Kasumi would have no trouble battling with the Ogre Scorpion Pokémon.
3 𒀰 Escavalier
Escavalier already looks like it would fit perfectly in the world of Persona with its unique ar🅷mor and arm lances, and it seems like one that Kasumi would definitely go out of her way to negotiate with.
Its plated armor looks similar enough to Cendrillon's, and it, again, uses similar types of physical attacks to her standard Persona. Any good Pokémon trai🍎ner needs to mix up their typing every once in a while, and Bug just so happens to be a great type to hide up a sleeve.
2 Samurott
If Kasumi were to pick any starter from any of the eight Pokémon regions, then she would for sure go with the Oshawott line from Black & White's Unova. Samurott sta𒁃ys in line 🍨with Kasumi's preference for blade-like attacks and also looks about as close to Cendrillon as a Pokémon can get.
Its color scheme is almost identical, having a blue body, white fur in place of wings, and golden armor. Samurott is also another Pokémon to share an extremely similar move to that in Persona in the form of Swords Dance.
1 Si🐭rfetch'd
As the only Pokémon to fight with a straight-up actual sword, Sirfetch'd is a no brainer. The sword is even of a similar style to Kasumi's, being a slim, thrus꧑ting sword. Even though its a pure Fighting type which is far from the Fairy-typing we've seen her go for, it shares too many similarities to look past.
Sirfetch'd's main gimmick in battle is its frequent usage of critical hits with its Leek, which Kasumi can also achieve with Cendrillon's Apt Pupil and Brave Step. With Swords Dance and Leaf Blade, it's easy to imagine Kasumi t♚aking a liking to this Fierce Fowl.
