Summary

  • Turns out there's another Pokemon-shaped Cheeto that's about to follow in the footsteps of Cheetozard.
  • A Pikachu-shaped Cheeto has appeared and will be auctioned off in the same way as the $87,000 Charizard Cheeto.
  • A Mario-shaped Cheeto is also listed on the site, but neither it nor the Pikacheeto are live yet.

A Cheeto shaped like Chari🐈zard was auctioned o🐼ff a few months ago and wound up fetching more than $87,000. If you're kicking yourself for missing out and have that kind of money to spend on a bizarre collectible, here comes your second cha♔nce as there's now a Pikachu-shaped Cheeto being readied for auction.

(or Pikacheeto) is now up at Goldin, the same auction site that sold the Cheetozard (thanks, ). Just like the Charizard equivalent, someone has carefully secured the Pikacheeto onto a makeshift Pokemon card. It reaඣlly is just a Cheeto that looks kind of like Pikachu, and it's not the only potato chip you'll be able to spend an ungodly amount of money on soon.

Well that didn't go to plan.

Also (seriously, what is it with Cheetos that kind of resemble Nintendo-owned video game characters?). Since Mario isn't a Pokemon, the seller has decided to display their chip in a case designed to look like an original Game Boy. The likeness isn't quiteꦫ as strong as it is with the Pikachee♛to, nor has it been given a funny pun name.

I'm sure you're all yelling suggestions right now, but none of them come as easil♚y as Pikacheeto or Cheetozard.

Who's That Pokemon?

It's Pikacheeto!

If you want to be the proud owner of one of these Cheetos, the bidding starts at $500, and let's be honest, if the Charizard Cheeto is anything tꦕo go by, you're going to need a lot more than that. Neither the Pikachu nor the Mario Cheeto are quite as famous as Cheetozard, but even if they don't reach the lofty $87,000 heights of its predecessor, they're still going to be sold for a lot of money.

It's unclear when the auctions for these Cheetos will begin. Goldin doesn't have start dates listed yetღ, so watch this space. You don't need to worry about missing out. The auctions will likely run for weeks, giving the bids the chance to ascend into the four, and probably five-figure range.

As if the soaring prices of Poke🧸mon cards weren't bad enough, it now costs thousands to own a Cheeto that kind of looks like a Pokemon. Even worse, how often have we mindlessly eaten a Cheeto that kind of looked like a Pokemon? On a related note, I just happened across a whole bag of Cheetos that look like Ekans.
