Nintendo has just dropped another huge announcement out of nowhere, as Pikmin 3 Deluxe is coming to Nintendo Switch on October 30.
Pikmin 3 was originally released for the Nintendo Wii U in 2013. It stars a spaceman named Alph, who crash-lands on a planet with his c🌠rew. The planet is home to strange ☂plantlike aliens called Pikmin. Alph has to lead the different types of Pikmin in order to defeat enemies and bypass hazards, so he can reunite with his crew and repair his ship.
The official Nintendo YouTube page has announced that Pikmin 3 Deluxe is coming to the Switch on October 30. This is an updated version of the game that features all of the DLC from Pikmin 3, as well as new dif⛎ficulty modes and side missi💦ons involving Alph's crew. The game will also feature a new co-op mode for the main campaign.
Pikmin 3 was one of the best games on the Nintendo Wii U and it didn't sell that well, thanks to the fact that it was chained to an unsuccessful system. There have been other Wii U ports to the Switch that have seen incredible sales, like New Super Mario Bros. U and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, so it's possible that Pikmin 3 Deluxe will finally give the game the chance it🌠 deserves to find an audie🔯nce.
One question that fans now have to ask themselves is: why didn't Nintendo announce Pikmin 3 Deluxe during the recent Mini Direct? Nintendo also dropped a significant Super Smash Bros. Ultimate patch last night with no fanfare. Both the new patch and Pikmin 3 Deluxe would have been well suited for the Mini Direct, but Nintend💃o decided to shado꧟w drop them instead.
A similar announcement happened for Paper Mario: The Origami King a few months ago. Could these announcements spell the end of Nintendo Directs as we know them? All that aside, we're super excited to see Pikmin 3 Deluxe coming to the Nintend💫o Switch, and for the system to finally have another big title in the latter half 🀅of 2020.
Pikmin 3 Deluxe will b💫e🦂 available on Nintendo Switch on October 30, 2020.
