168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Pillars of Eternity is 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:one of the best isometric RPSs to come out in recent years and home to some of the most interesting and unique characters seen in any modern entry in the genre. The world of Eora, in which Pillars of Eternity a꧑nd its sequel, Pillars of Eternity: Deadfire, are set, has a robust and detailed backstory and lore behind the🦄 many races and gods associated with it.
From mysterious and otherworldly Deities to a dragon trapped under a castle, Pillars of Eternity contains many strange and unearthly characters that The Watcher, the protagonist of both games, can meet, battle, and interact with. The best of these characters shape The Watcher's journey and influence how the player makes their decisions during the course of the game.
7 Maerwald – The Old Watcher 🥂
When The Watcher arrives at the ruins o♚f Caed Nua (the cursed home base for players in Pillars of Eternity), they are tasked 🔜with dealing with the old ruler, Maerwald, who has been living in the tunnels beneath the keep. He is tormented by his past lives; the memories of people he once was, all with vastly conflicting personalities and beliefs, caused him to go mad, and lose control of his own body.
As one of the first major character♊s the player will meet, Maerwald offers an interesting addition to the lore of the game, in that he presents the player with an almost prophetic warning. Maerwald, being a watcher himself, is who The Watcher could easily become.
6 Thไaos ix Arkannon – The Servant Of Woedica
The player first meets Thaos, a mysterious cultist who inadvertently imbues The Watcher with their powers, at the end of the prologue during the very beginning of the game. As the main antagonist, Thaos works as the agent, and 'favored' of Woedica, the goddess of justice and law, and attempts to aid her in her goal to become the all-powerful leader of the gods.
What makes Thaos unique is that, unlike most other mortals in the Pillars of Eternity universe, he can retain his memories when hi🅘s aging mortal body dies and his soul is transported to another newborn in a cycle of death and rebirth, known as the Wheel. This has given him two thousand years to work uninterrupted on his schemes, becoming one of the most feared figures in Eora.
As the game is regularly included on 168澳洲幸运5😼开奖网:free giveaways on the Epic games store as well as featuring on Xbox Game pass, now is the perfect time to try your h⭕and at defeating this immortal villain.
5 Steward &ndas🔯h; The Soul Of Caed Nua
The Steward is the caretaker of Caed Nua and seemingly just a carved piece of stonework. In fact, she is the soul of a dying woman bou🌜nd to the marble throne situated in the main hall of the keep and can feel everything that exists within, or that is tied to it.

After The Watcher puts the last ruler of Caed Nua to rest, the Steward transfe𒆙rs control of the fortress to them, proving her worth b⛄y maintaining and managing the day-to-day running of the keep while they are away on quests.
4 Sefyra – The Dragon Beneath The K🅺eep
Beneath Caed Nua exists the Endless Paths of Od Nua, a mega-dungeon that becomes progressively harder the further down the fifteen levels the player descends. On the lowest level lives a Dragon, Sefyra, who goes by the title the Master Below. She feeds off the Adra veins that converge at the bottom of the dungeon, scavenging thousands of souls, and claims to be the keeps 'true' master.
As exploring the dungeon is entirely optional, save forও the first level, some players might not even discover this secret opponent. If they approach the encounter diplomatically (although arguably immo🙈rally), The Watcher can even help Sefyra transfer her soul to another body, ending her millennia-long imprisonment.
The developers of Pillars of Eternity are always willing to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:go the extra mile for fans, and with the inclusion of Seyfra as one of the Kickstarter campaign stretch goals, they added an impressive and challenging adversa⭕ry.
3 Aloth Corfiser – The Man Of Two Minds 🗹
Alot🐎h is an Elven Wizard, and one of the first permanent companions The Watcher can recruit to their side. Through Awakeni♋ng, when a soul retains memories of a past life, it is eventually revealed that Aloth also shares his body with another – a woman named Iselmyr.
Iselmyr, who first appeared when Aloth was being viciously beaten by his father,🅷 comes out whenever Aloth is in a stressful situation and tends to escalate matters rather than placate them. As a Wizard, he can produce some of the most powerfulܫ spells in the game and, coupled with the juxtaposing personalities Aloth and Iselmyre share, is an excellent asset to The Watcher of any class.
2 ꦜ 🌠 Iovara – The Familiar Soul
Being an outspoken atheist in a world with demonstrable gods might seem a bit strange at first. Iovara went one further, forming an entire movement of people who disavowed the gods they could see and hear. It helps then that the Gods in Pillars of Eternity 🍷were in fact created by the Kith (the intelligent races of Eora), and not the other way around. By forming this movement, Iovara sought to give no easy answers – only the truth.
The Watcher encounters Iovara shortly before the final confrontation with Thaos, but in past lives, they were already well acquainted, with a relationship that is up to the player to decide. Here, Iovara reveals the secrets of the gods, and the civilization that made them; unfortunately, she offers mo🐼re questions than answers.
1 🌺 Edér Teylecg &nd💃ash; The Traitorous Believer
In a world of magic and gods, a human fighter can seem quaint, but in his mundanity, Edér shines. As a veteran of the Saint's War, when a farmer supposedly became the living incarnate of the god Eothas, Edér provides the player with an interesting narrative on belief and religion, having chosen to fight against the person claiming to be the very god he worships.
Edér has a warm laid-back charisma about him and often provides witty taglines to the end of any dialogue. Add to this the fact that he helped save The Watcher's life at the beginning of Pillars of Eternity: Deadfire and players could not ask for a more loyal companion.
