As many fans predicted (but speaking personally, sincerely hoped was not true), M𓆏ari Ibarra was indeed revealed to be Pit Girl after she was hunted to her demise. Other candidates had been Gen or Robin, with Gen's relationship to Melissa allowing Shauna and chance ⛦to be cruel, and Robin's status as a background character making her 'easier' to kill off than a fan favourite (this fan, right here) like Mari.
