Well, that question was finally answered during a Disney Lorcana panel at this year's D23 expo (attended by TheGamer), as developer Ravensburger has announced that Pixar characters will be coming to Disney Lorcana starting in 2026. This news was announced alongside the reveal that The Black Cauldron will be added to the game at some point in 2025, while Pocahontas will also be added in 2026 along with Pixar cards.

Unfortunately, Ravensburger is being pretty coy about a potential release date for all of these sets and the Pixar cards, which is probably sensible since they're so far away. It also hasn't been revealed exactly which Pixar characters will be the first to be added to Lorcana, so there's still time to cross your fingers and start sharing your top picks for who you think deserves to make it.

A Disney Lorcana World Championship Is Being Held At Disney World In 2025

There were a bunch of exciting announcements during the panel besides the Pixar bombshell, including the announcement of a Disney Lorcana World Championship being held at some point in 2025. We don't have a date for the tournament just yet, but it was revealed that it will be held at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, and a unique prize will be given to the winner.

Shown off during the show, the person that manages to come out on top at this World Championship will receive a one of one Mickey Mouse, Brave Little Tailor. To make sure you know it's special, the card is completely gold from top to bottom, and proudly displays the "World Champion 2025" title on the bottom half of the card. It will be a collector's prized possession for sure, and it could be yours if you fancy your chances against the world's best Lorcana players.
