Broken Mind
Follow Lucas up the rubble and through the hole in the wall. Turn right and interact with the barrier to try and leap over it to trigger a cutscene. Lucas resets Amicia’s arm, allowing her to regain some mobility. Help Hu🍰go over the barrier, then k𝐆eep walking through the tunnel.
There are steps on the left to walk up and in the far back left corner will be a crate with Resin. Keep going around the wooden table to enter the side room to find a chest with Sulphur, Pieces, and a Tool. You can exit through the gate that was previously locked from the other side. Use the workbench in the next area to upgrade your equipment, then run up the stepꦬs to keep following Lucas through the destruction.
The way out is past a ledge that is too high to climb. Walk to the right and there will be a gap in the gate where you’ll see the lock on the door. Shoot the lock, so you can enter the door and find a crate with Saltpeter in the side left room. Then, pull the wooden barrier toward you so you can unlock the path. Go down the newly opened hall and jump over the barrier, then search the room to find a Pyrite on a shelf toward the right and another crate with Sulphur right outside the area.
Dive Deeper
When you keep walking through the area, you’ll gain access to the anchor point. Fire a rope at the large wagon hanging off the upper level, then pull it down, so it’ll roll toward the wall below the opening. Unfortunately, it will have too much momentum and get stuck in the wall. Interact with the wagon so Amicia and Lucas can push it through the opening, creating an opening that is infested with rats.
There are large rat embryo sacs on the walls that will burst if you walk too close, so try to 🉐stay a safe distanꦜce away.
After the cutscene, pick up the torch from the left wall and slowly head down the hill through the rats, making sure to avoid the fumes. Head down the path on the left and walk up the hill to reach a dark tunnel. There will be another sac on your left, sꦉo stay close to the right-side wall. When you 🌌reach the end of the path, a cutscene will show a massive rat sac in the middle of the ground.
The tentacles from the sac will break off the walls, and you’ll need to run down the path to avoid being crushed. Run to the left and climb up the ledge, but be careful as the camera angle will shift. Continue running from the rats until you drop from a ledge. There will be several more sacs on either side of the path that’ll burst with rats, but keep running until you reach outside and a cutscene b🍒egins.
Heading To The Harbor
After the cutscene, walk up the hill, and you’ll see the village. At the end of the path, there will be a ledge but the rats will prevent you from climbing down. Hugo commands the rats to move, allowing you to drop from the ledge𓆏. On the right is a crate with Resin and Saltpeter.
Head over to the left side to find a broken wagon near a torch. There will be enemies patrolling the area, so utilize the tall grass nearby to remain hidden. You can find a bolt in the side of the wagon if you choose to attack the soldiers.
Walk past the wagon and into the tall grass on the right side. Be careful of the rat sac on the left. Climb the ledge on the right side, then follow closely behind the helmeted soldier to reach the next patch of grass. You can also use the Crossbow to kill the guard quickly, but the sound of the crossbow might attract other enemies.
Hugo will be able to control the rats in the area. You can burst a rat sac, then command them to attack the surrounding soldiers, but be mindful of Hugo’s stress level. When the coast is clear, run down to the end of the p🅷ath to find a ledge that is too 🐈high to climb.
Turn right and find a cart chained to a wall. Break the lock, and the cart will roll down the hill and allow you to reach the ledge. A꧒fter climbing the ledge, walk through the flaming archway and into the door, triggering🧜 a cutscene.
Finding Arnaud
After the cutscene, drop from the ledge and, after seeing the belfry collapse, keep heading down the path to the next patch of grass. There are more soldiers patrolling the area, so, again, you can choose whether to remain hidden or attack. If you attack, the first soldier will have a helmet, so use Exstinguis to snuff out his torch and let the rats deal with him.
Walk through the doorway on the left, and you’ll see another guard down the path on the right next to a torch. Snuff out the torch and the rats will get him too. With the rats too busy with the first guard, sprint up the steps, and there will be Pieces on the left table, and🅰 a chest with more Pieces and Sulphur at the foot of thꦫe bed.
Before you continue walking down the ramp, there will be another guard patrolling. Because there aren’t any rats in the area, it’s best to wait for the guard to walk back and ꦿthen quickly run down and drop from the ledge.
There will be another heavily armored guard patrolling up the hill, so wait until he rounds the corner before making your way to the tall grass at the top. With his back turned, hop through the window to pick up a pot and search a crate for Alcohol.
Drop from the ledge and continue moving forward to reach another ledge on the left in a patch of tall grass that you’ll find Pieces if you climb up.
After finding the Pieces, jump back down and there will be a guard overlooking the edge on the left with a chest next to him, but he won’t move. You can sneak behind the guard and stab him with a knife and loot the chest for Pieces, Resin, and Alcohol. However, killing the guard might aﷺlert other soldiers in the area.
Jump through the window to get inside the church, then loop around to the other side of the building. There’s a chest with Sulphur and Pieces, then double back and turn left through the archway. Lift the wood panels to squeeze under the barrier to reach the next💃 area.
Keep making your way across the broken roofs and drop down from the ledge. Leap through the right window and loot the chest for Alcohol and Pieces, then use the workbench in the left corner to upgrade your equipment. Once you’re done, climb up the ledge behind you on your right and there will be more Pieces directly to your right.
Continue running along the path and drop down the next ledge on the right and follow the path around to the left. There’s a crate in the back left corner with Resin, then head outside to find a cart on your right. Turn the cart around, and push it against the wall behind you to climb up the ledge and run across the terrace. Before you head down the steps, turn left to find more Pieces.
Staying Alive
After running down the steps, you’ll find Arnaud about to be hanged. Drop from the ledge and shoot the jar of tar to kill the guards on the right, then quickly eliminate the guard on the left. This starts a battle against several soldiers, some being heavily armored. There will be bolts and pots to pick up around the area that will respawn throughout the fight. Have the armored soldiers walk close to the other jars of tar and shoot them to douse them in flames, then fire Crossbow bolts to weaken them.
Once you’ve used all the jars, throw your pots to burn the soldiers. Lucas will try to help with his Stupefacius to temporarily blind soldiers. Other soldiers will attack you from a ship on the docks and different entrances on the balcony and ground level. When you kill the last soldier, a scene with Arnaud and Hugo will happen, and then you have finishedꦑ the chapter.
