Titled "The Arctic Pack", this expansion will be heading to Steam on December 17, 2019. Accompanying it will be anothe💞r free update that adds new features for the base game.
The Arctic Pack is set꧂ to feature new animals, scenarios, foliage, and scenery items, while the free update includes some quality-of-life changes, features, and fixes. Animals being added include the Arctic Wolf, Po𝓡lar Bear, Reindeer, and Dall Sheep. If you're dying to raise some Reindeer in time for Christmas day, now's your chance.
You'll also be able to play two new arctic themed scenarios. One takes place in the snowy tundra biome of Norway while the other in the arid desert of Mexico. Both new scenarios will focus on expanding and maintaining existing zoos -similar to the main campaign-. The Norway zoo is a remote animal sanctuary, bringing in Arctic animals in need of care. The Mexico scenario, on the other hand, explores keeping arctic animals in a challenging, hot, 🅘and arid climate.
The free update (available to all owners of Planet Zoo) includes a new age slider which will allow you to slow the animal's rate of aging. The animal info panels will see a change so they show immediate family members. Players can also find new heat maps which includ൲e crime and inbreeding overlays.
Along with the DLC news, Frontier has released a fascinating infographic that details some of the statistics it has gathered from players so far. It's filled with some poo-lentiful stats💖.
The quirky statistics reflect the fact that players are releasing animals back into the wild in large numbers, 13.7 million to be exact. They have also transferred a whopping 6.4 million animals to other zoos us🎀ing the marketplace. We can also see that a tremendous 62 million animals have been more over the 30 days surveyed.
The most fascinating facts are those about elephant poop, showing that 508,228,063 Meters Cubed worth have been collected by players. Maybe the game needs to be renamed as Planet Poo? It's s🐎urprising how much poo is getting sh🐻oveled around.
