It is similar in content to the Arctic Pack but with more focus on the decorative𒅌 side, eliminating the scenarios in favor of more decor items an🍸d an extra animal.
For players who want a touch of bamboo in the game then this pack is perfect. It's also heavy on tꦬhe temple ruins and vibrant decals making it quite eclectic, yet well-matched. However, there are some things we would have loved to see. Here we take a look at what we love about the new pack and things we feel are missing.
10 🎶🐎 Loved: The Jungle Temple Theme
One of the main focuses of the pack is the jungle temple theme. It includes rocks, ruins, roots, and rubble. There are also some more vibrant jungle plants a♔s well as some temple statܫues and carvings.
The pieces work together perfectly and using the flexible building system playe♏rs can create their very own scenes that look and feel movie set worthy.
9 Wish We Had:🌼 More Foliage
While the foliage we have is beautiful much of it is more suited to decor and looks slightly out of place in exhibits. The jungle is a v🔯ast haven of foliage and yet there are only a handful of 🅠plant and tree types.
The hanging ivy and tree roots are a𒁃 nice addition but again the ivy especially feels more decorative. When making exhibits the existing foliage mostly fits bette💫r which is a shame.
8 Loved: The New Small Exhibit Animal ꦡ ꦜ
Small exhibits are often underrated so we were glad to see a new small animal 💙added to the game. The classic Red-Eyed Tree Frog may be small but its habitat is very tropical and fits in perfectly with the zoo.
Having this iconic amphibian in the🌌 game screams jungle and we are so glad it's ꦚin our zoo, even if it is difficult to spot amongst the tropical mists of its enclosure.
7 ꩵWish We Had: Birds
So far Planet Zoo is lackin🌺g in birds. While we completely understand that adding them would be a huge ta𒊎sk, since there are no appropriate enclosures in the game, we still would have loved to see them.
We know its wishful thin🌠king but Toucans, in particular, would bring a beautiful vibrance to our animal selection that we still hope to see in the future, maybe in a larger DLC Pack.
6 🐠 Loved: The Vibrant Decor
While the jungle theme may not feel very vibrant, 𓆉the pack actually contains some of the most colorful items in the game. Alongside the rocks and ruins are numerous painted 😼bamboo pieces, bright wall decals, and flashy screen frames, as well as colorful doors and windows.
There 𒅌are also some brightly colored furniture items including benches, picnic tables, lamps, and umbrellas. If you want to add some color to your zoo then this pack provides.
5 Wish We Had: New Shops 🥃
Once all research is complete the game does offer a number of shops but we'd have loved to see something extra more fitting to the theme. Maybe a themed so🦂uvenir shop🌌 or even just an extra choice for food and drink.
There 𓄧are themed shop shells, toilets, and staff buildings but not any new shop types. Here's hoping we see some in the future.
4 💛 Loved: New And Beautiful Animals 💙
The new animals are beautiful.🎶 Jaguars and Llamas especially are full of tiny details that you rarely see in other games. The big cats all have unique markings, while the llama's hairs are noticeable.
The anteaters and monkeys can also live together, along with Tapirs, which creates a nice dynaওmic in teꦉrms of the exhibit style and activity.
3 𝄹 Wish We Had: Sloths
We miss sloths! A Zoo Tycoon favorite, the humble sloth w🔴ould have been an ideal addition to thi🍌s pack. However, sadly it was not to be.
No doubt every pack will always have a long list of animals that were considered and rejec🌳ted but we are a little sad that the sloth hit the reject pile. Hopefully, we will see them return in the future.
2 ꦇ Loved: The Little Touches
Planet Zoo is ✤defined by its tiny touches. Not only does this pack contain the details in animals we've come to expect but they are also evident in the decor items.
Bamboo poles have removable rope coils, doors and windows have different panels and the new paths match perfectly when elevated. It is this attention to detail that makes the game stand outꦕ and this pack is no different.
1 Wish We Had: A Better 🅺W🅺ay To Navigate Mountains
We love the new map but realistically it's difficult to navigate and build on💟. It would have been fantastic to see a new vehicle type, along the lines of a cable car or similar. After all, we have boats, trains, and monorails,💫 going a little higher would be amazing.
As you look at those beautiful mountains it just makes you want to explore them a💃ll, in the meantime, however, we just have to enjoy the view from our monitors, while our patrons miss out.
