I think it's fair to say people like plants. I like plants, and so do all my housemates, and that's basically my whole life. So everyone likes plants in my experience. They're pretty, come in a whole bunch of varieties, and give you power over life and death on a miniature scale.
I also happen to love Pokemon, and that series sure has a whole bunch of plants too. Do the ethics of owning a plant get a bit more complicated when they're a form of sentient life that can interact with you? Maybe, but I also own Pokemon plushes already, so I don't think a plant that can talk back is going to stop me from putting it by my bedside table.
10 Sunflora
Let's start basic. Sunflora. They're a sunflower. I can't really say much more about them, honestly. It sucks up sunlight and gets nice and lively; at night it gets sleepy because there's no sun. Just like the rest of us.
Ok, well, Sunflora actually follows the sun. I'd display Sunflora right by my window, but there's something a little sinister about it literally just getting up and walking down to my kitchen to catch some more rays. Creepy, but not a dealbreaker.
9 Smoliv
I remember watching the Scarlet and Violet trailer thatꦏ revealed Smoliv and thinkingꦚ to myself "oh my god, they are literally me". I am not an olive, just for the record, but I do make the same face as Smoliv when faced with most daily tasks, like writing this article.
Maybe this is odd to say in this context, but I also love olive oil. I use it in just about everything I reasonably can. Smoliv would be such a helpful little dude in that regard! Sure, the Pokedex says their oil is bitter, but I'm willing to bet they'd be a great cook if they put their mind to it. I'd put them in the kitchen.
8 Maractus
Bet you forgot about this guy, right? Did you know he's frequently voted as the most forgettable Pokemon? Not the worst, just the least memorable. Harsh.
I think that's a little unfair because I think they're neat. They sound like maracas when they move, seem really happy all the time, and are three feet tall, which would make them funny to sit in a corner of my living room as an abnormally large, but not quite overly big plant either. Plus they'd live when I would absolutely forget to water them.
7 Roselia
Roselia is one of those Pokemon that's a pseudo-mascot of the Pokemon series. I don't really get why, other than the fact that they're a feminine flower Pokemon that looks like they're wearing a dress and has plenty of anthropomorphic aspects. No one on the internet would have an unhealthy obsession with that.
Me, though? I like that they're a creepy rose bouquet. Can you imagine walking into someone's house and Roselia, which is admittedly much larger than a regular rose, is just like walking around, sitting on trees and just... existing? I'd put them on my table, for extra surrealness.
6 Comfey
Is it controversial to say that Sun and Moon are some of my favourite Pokemon games? I don't really care, there are some banger Pokemon in there (Rowlet). It had flaws, but whatever, that's just Pokemon as a series, really.
Anyway, I really like Comfey. They look like a daisy chain, but they're actually just the vine and instead collect flowers, that are basically immortal once attached. Low maintenance and pretty, I'd wear them around my neck like a character from Midsommar.
5 Sudowoodo
Sudowoodo is the negligent owner's dream, which unfortunately is a title I'm guilty of (a special tribute to my plant Bláthnaid, which perished after maybe two weeks). Sudowoodo though, they're a funky tree that...hates water. Huh?
Oh, wait, Sudowood 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:isn't actually a tree? They're a rock? Huh. That feels kind of evil, actually. I'll still take them as an ornament and put them in my hallway, like a mascot to welcome and bewilder visitors.
4 Carnivine
Do you ever have guests over, but you can't quite ask them to leave because that'd be rude? But you're tired, and they're starting to overstay your hospitality and you kind of just want them gone? I have, and I wish I had Carnivine back then.
They're like a Venus Flytrap but instead, they're four feet tall and can attach to any surface. I think I'd position them ahead of time when I know guests are coming, and just let them linger overhead. They get a good snack, and I get rid of unwanted guests. It's a symbiotic relationship.
3 Torterra
Dia♓mond and Pearl were my first Pokemon games. Both of them. For so🐬me reason, I got both and subsequently lost Pearl. This means I lost a potential fortune with how much those games go for now. I picked Chimchar in both games and named one of them FLAME (yes, all caps). I even have them still, which makes me feel very old.
I wouldn't want an Infernape in my home, though. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Too much flame. Torterra though? That's a real homely lad. They are an absolute unit though, so I'd relegate them to the garden, at which point they'd apparently become another micro-garden, which is still pretty cool.
2 Leafeon
I've had a lot of dogs in my life, and a single cat. I've loved them all, they are wonderful companions, but they can be very needy. They are living creatures that do things, so I think that's fair. Plants, on the other hand, are significantly less demanding. At least they won't meow at me when their water isn't at sub-zero temperatures.
Leafeon is the best of both worlds. They look like a creature that I might reasonably keep as a pet, but are also basically a plant. Sun and water are all they need! I could give them a bath and feed them at the same time. Top-tier creation. They'd be by my side always.
1 Tropius
What's your favourite fruit? Mine are bananas. They're wonderfully sweet, have a fun texture, and make banana bread, another favourite food of mine. They're definitely within the Top Ten in food items.
Lucky me, Tropius exists! They're basically just a giant tree that walks around that also loved bananas so much they just started growing on them as a real power move. Maybe your Tropius would grow another fruit, but mine would always have bananas. I'd put them in the garden and hope they wouldn't fly away.
