Sony Is Being Quiet About How Much PS5 Will Cost, But Console Architect Says Price Will Be 'Appealing'

Even though we are still a long way off discovering the exact price of the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:PlayStation 5, one of its architects claims it will be "appeaღling."

As we close in on six years since the r👍elease of this current 𝔍generation of consoles, speculation as to what we can expect from the next generation continues to ramp up. In fact, some of that speculation became information this week when Sony console architect Mark Cerny gave gamers a little bit of news about the PlayStation 5.

The biggest take away from Cerny's interview with was that the next Sony console will be backward-compatible with PS4 games. The lack of backward compatibility on the curre๊nt console was cause for concern when the PS4 was released back in 2013. Cerny also revealed that the PS5, or whatever Sony chooses to call it, will support 8K resolution.

What we really want to know is how much the PS5 is going to cost. This was not mentioned during the original interview, however, Peter Rubin has since revealed that a potential price point was d🌳iscussed. Although Cerny didn't give an exact number, for obvious reasons, he did label the price of the PS5 as "appealing to gamers in light of its advanced feature set."

Appealing is a pretty ambiguous word to use. Considering that the PS5 will be the most advanced console the world has ever seen, appealing "in light" of its features could really mean anything. We would hazard to guess that the console could be as expensive as $600 upon release. If that is the case, gamers will likely drag up Cerny's appealing comments. The PS4 and PS4 Pro were both $399 on launch. If the PS5 is less than $100 more than that, then we would per🌟sonally consider that fair.

As we mentioned above, though, not only could the word appealing mean anything, but it is still going to be a long while before we find out a definite price. We should also remind you that Sony will be skipping E3 this year, so don't expect to hear any news about th🅠e company's next-gen console at the event. It's f🔯ar more likely that news will drop unexpectedly as it did this week.
