168澳洲幸运5开奖网:PlayStation and Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO Jim Ryan has been at the helm of the company since replacing John Kodera in 2019, but it's now been announced that Ryan is stepping down from his role within the company.

Thiꦫs was first revealed by Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier, who dropped the bombshell via his personal Twitter account earlier today. Shortly after, an official announcement was made via the official PlayStation Twitter account, which revealed that Jim Ryan will be retiring from Sony Interactive Entertainment entirely in March 2024. It was also announced that Ryan will be replaced by Sony Group Corp president Hiroki Totoki in April 1, 2024, who will become interim CEO and go on to search for a permanent replace𝔉ment.

In a letter to the PlayStation community, Ryan explains that he is retiring due to him finding it "increasingly difficult" to manage his home ꧑life in the UK and his work life in the US. Ryan also explains that he will continue in his role until March 2024, after which Totoki will take over whilst also managing his current role at Sony Group Corporation.

"I have announced my retirement after nearly 30 years at Sony Interactive Entertainment," says R🌟yan. "I did not take this decision lightly and I absolutely love SIE and our community, but of late I’ve been finding it increasingly difficult to strike the right balance between having my home in the UK and my job in the United States. As mentioned in the press re♑lease, I will continue my role as President and CEO until March 2024."

Elsewhere in the letter, Ryan says that he has been "humblꦦed" for the opportunity to lead PlayStation and SIE during the launch of the PS5, and is "immensely proud" of what the team has achieved during his time there. He then goes on to thank fans for allowing the company to "keep innovating and delivering even greater experiences."

Reactions to Ryan's retirement are about as mixed as you're probably expecting. Many are wishing him a happy retirement and the best in any future endeavors, while others are actively celebrating the fact that he's no longer in charge of PlayStation.

Ryan hasn't exactly been one of the most popular leaders in PlayStation's long history, but it's safe to say the his time at the company was a massive success given PlayStation's ongoing dominance of the console market. Let's hope that whoever is tasked with taking PlayStation forward into the next generation has just as much success.
