Firewalk Studios' first official release will be an exclusive to PS5. The studio is composed of veteran designers who worked on the Destiny series, although specific🌞 details ♛about its upcoming title remain scarce.
Firewalk was formed in 2018 and includes talent such as Tony Hsu – st🥃udio head, former senior VP of Destiny – Ryan Ellis – game director𝔍, former creative director at Bungie – and Elena Siegman – executive producer, who previously worked at Bungie, Irrational Games, and Harmonix. That's a lot of firepower behind the upcoming game, and PlayStation clearly wants to get it at the ground level.
"Today, we’re thrilled to announce a partnership with Sony Interactive Entertainment for our new, original multiplayer game," said Hsu. "For our team, the opportunity to create new worlds and inspire more amazing moments for players around the world is the fire and 𒅌ambition that keeps us going. The PlayStation team has a deep love and respect for the medium of games, and some of the best expertise and capabilities in the world to help make big ambitions a reality."
While details about Firewalk's project aren't readily available, it's apparentl𓆉y already w🦩ell into development.
"We’re already hard at work on development and have been having a ton of fun playing our game as a team," Hsu continued. "In fact, while we continued to grow our team during this challenging last year, it was our daily online playtests that provided the most consistent point of joy and connection for our crew. The fun and laughter ܫof playing together brought us closer, even if we were physically apart. Our goal is to be able to deliver that same joy to gamers and we can’t wait to share what we’ve been working on when the time is right."
The new partnership seems to align with Sony's overall strategy of adding massive, exclusive games to its roster. While Xbox continues to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:grow its Game Pass catalog and broaden its reach on💟 mobile, Sony is taking a decidedly different approach. In the past, we've seen titles such as Uncharted, God of War, and Spider-Man land exclusively onꦉ PlayStation consoles – and it looks like the future will be no different.
