Christmas is fast-approaching and right now is about the time of the year where everyone is breaking up for the holidays, game developers and all. That means we're about to see plenty of devs wish us all a Happy Holidays, but PlayStation has gone one step further and gathered up a bunch of first-party and third-party developers to create adorable Christmas cards featuring our favorite video game characters.
You can check out all of the designs in and all the faces you'd expect to be there are present and accounted for. The post kicks off with a heartwarming family picture of the cast of God of War Ragnarok, made much more depressing if you've actually finished the game. We also get a card of Aloy lighting a lantern as well as a card of Miles Morales and Peter Parker suited up delivering food to FEAST in lovely Christmassy getups.
There are other first-party studios there too, including Housemarque with some Returnal representation, Naughty Dog with a lovely scene of Ellie and Joel around a campfire, and Sucker Punch with a card depicting all of its past characters riding a sleigh full of presents. Sly Cooper and Cole MacGrath are even there, meaning at the very least that Sucker Punch hasn't forgotten about a couple of its dormant franchises.
Bluepoint's Christmas card is a little more interesting though, as the developer could potentially be teasing a new title in the near future. Its card doesn't feature any characters, but has four Christmas presents gathered around a tree. Three of them are open, each one with a video game weapon leaning up against them, but there's a fourth present still wrapped up. Let's keep our fingers crossed that whoever opens that present finds a horribly bloody Saw Cleaver inside.
PlayStation's big roundup also includes a few third-party developers who have created cards for the occasion, including Square Enix which has made a festive collage of its recent releases and upcoming titles, although Babylon's Fall seems to be missing. Maybe Square ran out of space or something. There's also a card from The Callisto Protocol featuring Jacob Lee looking like I do after eating way too much turkey, and an adorable card from MultiVersus featuring Reindog sat in the middle of a snowy forest.
Then we have the developer's who don't seem to have channelled much festive spirit when making their cards, including Gran Turismo 7 developer Polyphony Digital which has put "Season's Greetings" on a picture of some cars and called it a day. Dead Space makes an appearance as a gif with no hint of a Christmas theme whatsoever, and PlayStation London has just shared some 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:concept art for it's next game, although we'll give it bonus points for adding snow. It's lumps of coal in your stockings for all of you this year.
