Last year's 25th Anniversarry line — which is still available in some regions — had that classic "PS𓄧One Grey" that's become ubiquitous with the console. This year's refresh has a modern edge while still maintaining classic design elements.
All of the Merch is black with yellow, red, blue, and green accents that match the iconic PlayStation color scheme. There are two varieties to choose from: a𓆏 minimalist style that uses just the original logo and colors, or "vintage" style with a "Since '94" logo. Both styles are sharp looking with clean lines and a slick aethsetic while remaining authentic to the PlayStation iconography.
All of the "Since '94" merch — the muꦛg, t-shirt, hat, and bottle opener — make use of a racing stripe-style pattern that shows off the PlayStation colors in a really unique way. They're definitely eyecatching, So iꦕf you're looking for something a bit more minimal there is a t-shirt and hoodie that don't have the "Since '94" logo.
My favorite piece in the set is definitely the hoodie. I really like subtle branding on stuff because it makes me feel like I can wear it anywhere and the hoodie is exactly the kind of style tha🌳t suiꦰts me. The classic PlayStation logo is prominent while the multi-colored lines run across the chest, down the arms, and across the back in a really cool pattern. It's a simple design that I think represents PlayStation's futurism in a really elegant way — it almost looks like Tron in a way.
Most importantly, the stitching is tight and clean on all of the products. This is high quꦗality stuff meant to last. I would recommend going a size up to be safe. Unless I'm not being honest with myself about the quarentine weight I've put on, my usual large seemed a bit too small on the shirt, but the hoodie is sized perfectly.
