Gaming insider Jeff Grubb has claimed that Sony's rumoured Summer showcase will reveal the "second phase of the PS5", and tha✤t it was originally planned for late last ❀year.

Yesterday, PlayStation held its first State of Play showcase of 2023, giving us a detailed look at 168澳⛦洲幸运5开奖网:Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Resident Evil 4, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Conne🍨ction🔯s, and Tchia. Although there was a fair amount of content in the showcase, it didn't impress many PlayStation fans who were expecting to see bigger first-party titles.

Although that was never promised by PlayStation, it seems that sort of big showcase is going to be happening in the near future. while talking about reactions to the State of Play. On the show, Grubb reiterated that a new showcase is coming before E3 and that it'll outline the "second phase" of the PS5.

Grubb said, "Sony itself is saving its own actual good stuff for something else, which is what's happening here, they're saving their good stuff for the PlayStation showcase that's going to happen before E3. It was supposed to happen last Fall, but they kept pushing it back because their developers weren't ready. Those developers are ready, they should have a massive show that should set up the second phase of the PS5."

This isn't the first time that we've heard about PlayStation holding a Summer showcase, but Grubb's wording does seem to imply that it's going to be a big deal for the system. There are plenty of first-party studios that we haven't heard from in a while like Naughty Dog, Sucker Punch, Team Asobi, and more, so it seems like it could be quite the big event. We'll have to wait till this Summer to find out more, however, as it's still unconfirmed.
