Pokémon is on its 22nd season of the anime, which debuted back in 1997. Such a long-running series presents many interestin❀g sub-plots, characters, and most notably unique Pokémon, which haven't always🃏 made it into the games.
5. Golden Sudowoodo
Golden Sudowoodo appeared in the 447th episode of the anime series, "All That Glitters Is Not Golden!"- being the 173rd episode of the Pokémon Advanced Generation se♑ries. The golden appearance of this Sudowoodo is a product of its trainer's experiment gone wrong, in an attempt to resolve his Pokémon's fear of water.
Type-wise it seems a Golden Sudowoodo would translate to a Steel-type variant, especially given the trainer's endeavor to remedy the Pokémon's fear of water. Sudowoodos are already masters of disguise with their Rock-type masqueraded under a Grass-type ap💙pearance. Wouldn't upgrading thi﷽s charade to a Steel-type regional variant be cool? It would undoubtedly bring a new meaning to a shiny Pokémon.
4. Pinkan Island Pokémon
Pinkan Island is a haven for Pokémon in the Orange Archipelago. The name derives from the peculiar fruit on the island, which causes the Pokémon who ingest it to turn a pinkis🐟h color. 🌄Being naturally hostile due to their secluded environment, these Pokémon would make formidable battle contestants.
Though poachers hig🌟hly seek them for their unique coloring, Pokémon trainers are also wildly fond of rare color variants. It would ꦦbe great to give these exuberant Pokémon a place to direct their energy.
3. Pink Butterfree
Pink Butterfree first appeared in an early episode of the anime series, "Bye𓂃 Bye Butterfree," before color variants had been introduced to the franchise. Longtime fans will remember how harshly this little heartbreaker rejected Ash's Butterfree during the mass courting ritual taking place. Ultimately Ash's Butterfree won over the haughty Pokémon and the two became lifelong partners, making several more appearances together throughout the series.
Pink Butterfree likely took on a unique appearance merely to differentiate it🅷 from the kaleidoscope of Butterfree taking flight in "Bye Bye Butterfree." Now that regional and color variants of Pokémon are so widely popular, it would be wonderful to see the games pay homage to Butterfree's rose-shaded sweetheart.
2. Crystal Onix
The sole encounter with the crystal Onix was in the anime's 87th꧃ episode, "The Crystal Onix." In the episode, a young sculptor tracks down the fabled Pokémon to gain inspiration for his statues. Upon battling it, the artist discovers the Onix's unique skin makes it impervious to water, but susceptible to fire attacks; quite the opposite from a standard Onix.
There's no🦋 Crystal-type in the games, but perhaps this statuesque Onix could translate into an Ice-type, given its weakness to fire and crystallized appearance. Ice-type regional variants have become very much a thing over recent generations, so it's not such an outlandish notion.
1. Snowman Snorlax
The 9th Pikachu Short tied to the franchise portrays a wintery tale, which unfolds much like a Pokémon rendition of Frosty The Snow Man. During winter vacation, Pikachu and friends fashion a "Snowlax." When this Snowpokémon comes to life during the night, it strings the group of Pokémon along on a chilly adventure. The eওvents of the anime short culminate in the Snowlax discovering more of its own kind before returning to its unanimated state by morning.
As was stated e🌼arlier, Ice-type regional variants have become rather prominent in the games, and Snorlax is a big fan favorite. Just think of all the exciting winter events a Snowlax could host alongside other seasonal favorites like Delibird and Snom.
Honorable Mention: Mimikins
This decrepitly adorable Pokémon appeared alongside its trainer, Acerola, in the 73rd episode of the Pokémon Sun & Moon seri💙es. Technically Mimikins is just a slightly altered shiny Mimikyu and not a true anime exclusive, but it floats because it's the ghost of a dead Mimikyu. A ghost of a ghost-type Pokémon is a pretty radi𝓀cal concept.
It would be cool for Acerola to make an appearance with Mimikins in the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Sword & Shield games, where we could see a Gigantamaxed 🍎form. Or at least some new mecha♚nic that adds the Levitate ability to Mimikyu.
With regional variants on the rise, all of these Pokémon 𒆙would make great additions to the games. Not to mention the heightened nostalgic element they would bring to gameplay for many longtime fans.
New episodes of the anime air Saturdays on DisneyXD.
