The Fire types have always been a popular choice since day 1, with some of the highest attack and some incredibly heavy hitters in their stable it makes sense. Their super effective landscape is filled with some of the more niche types in the series, making them perfect for when an unexpected enemy comes the trainers' way.
On top of that, their defensive profile has a 6 type span, taking out a 3rd of the entire series in one fell swoop, Even the aesthetically inclined trainer has to be drawn towards them, some of the menacing designs in the game reside in flames. As many flaws as a person could point out there's no denying that some of the most iconic Pokémon we have are Fire-types.
10 Fan Favorite 🎀
Most players' first starter, was always top of the wanted list and Who can blame them? With stunni🔜ng wings and a flaming tail, it's hard to choose against it. Charmander was the stubborn starter, evolving into this great beast it gave us victory in the game and some good laughs in the series.
Artist gave us a demonstration of Charizard's intensity right down to the intimidating glare in its eye. With vibrant colours throughout surrounded by a swirl of embers, anyone♒ that saw this piece would leave Bulbasaur 💫and Squirtle with Prof. Oak.
9 🎐 🔴 An Accessible Champion
With one of the best designs in the game, Arcanine was the fiery canine we all wanted to get our hands on. With high stats all around, Arcanine𒅌 wasn'꧑t only battle-ready but had been bumped down from legendary status. Players could get all the literal firepower without the end game effort.
Artist has given us a beautiful whirlwind of𒆙 fire surrounding the burning beast. With a darker and more intense colouring with a windy flow, it gives that luscious mane an added touch.
8 A Peaceful Legend 🌄
Ho-oh was known to the creators lo𒁃ng before it's debut in the second generation, even making its first appearance in the very first episode of Pokémon. It doesn't get much more nostalgic than the premiere, especially when Ho-oh is one of the most noted legendaries of the series.
A clear design from a Chinese phoenix or Fenghuang, has p♐ut great detail into the peacock tail of Ho-oh. Also, the positioning of perspective gives viewers a full scale of the giant bird, as peaceful a sym📖bol as Pokémon has.
7 𒁏 Flaming Footsteps
Carrying the extremely hot torch of Fire-type starters, Typhlosio💙n had a lot to live up to. Living heavily in the shadows of Charizard, Pokémon delivered in a big way. What it lacks in a flashy tail and wings it makes up for with the flaming mane.
Looking like the top of a Volcano, has brought the temperamental creatuꩵre to life. Using the contrast of heat and flames against a dark backdrop really makes the intensity pop.
6 ♚ Volcanic Roar 🍒
Every time Entei opens its jaws to roar, a volcano erupts. If fans weren't convinced by that, there's no hope. Entei was the flaming lion that we all need, even if he was incredibly elusive and difficult to find. If you were lucky enough to catch him, Entei would run thro𒆙ugh oppos🌜ition quickly.
In full ferocity, ds extreme detail is especially impressive ♐considering the long mane of hair that surrounds its crown. Subtly exploding in the background you see the volcano erupting, a nice touch that will often be missed.
5 Sweet Ember ಌ
Even with the likes of Espeon and Leafeon, Flareon may take the cake for the cutest Eeveelution. In the first generation, this was one of the first opportunities to have a Fire-type on your team if 🎶you didn't pick Charmander as a starter.
's piece is simple yet gets all the adorable and majestic pieces just right. From the big bushy tail to the lush mane flowing around its neck. Desp☂ite all the damage it can cause, Flareon will keep players attention with its charm.
4 Room To Flaunt💦
Ninetales was the powered-up version of a fan favourite, Vulpix. One of the rare instances where the popularity of the original Pokémon trumps its evolution, Ninetales was the brawn ♊behind the flash. With a very high-speed stat combined with a great fire move sꦕet made for a great asset.
One of the distinguishing features (hence the name) was the flowing tails, a feature that highlighted greatly. Framing the body at the edge of the 🍸piece allowed for the particular characteristic to take the spotlight.
3 Intimidation Inca🐲rnate
One of the debutants of the Dark type, Houndoom was a great pilot Pokemon for the new type on the block. Trainers that wanted an intimidating look for thei⭕r team had a♍ clear choice in the Dark/Fire-type. Its move selection came in handy even when it had such a low defence.
With a stalking stance and it's blistering flames at its side, got its personality down packed. The glar🌟ing red eyes and misshapen horns are something no one wants to be on ൲the defending end of.
2 ꦿ A Step Out Of The Game
The last legendary bird to be created, the theory is Moltres was the one that kicked Arcanine out of its legendary status in the first generation. Having seen it at the top of the list, Moltres must be pretty special to knock Aranine off the top spot. Having one of the highest special attacks in the gam🍨e means it's not one to play with.
has gone a completely unique way, instead of going with the animated style they've lead Moltres into reality. Razor claws and splayed wings, Moltres was always the most ostentatious o🐎f the legendary birds.
1 ♛ Realized Pot🥃ential
Magmar was the slightly dopey looking spitfire that came with an array of stats. From very high attack and speed to a dismal defence, if players wanted an all-rounder it wasn't the way to go. It did place itself at a critical part of the game, just before you start to ramp up the difficulty and precisely when Magmar🐽 would become useful making it memorable.
has done a great job of pulling Magmar from its oafish origins and transforming itꦓ into more of what it's battle potential was. The intensity of the flame compliments its volcanic backstory much more than the original design.
