It’s a gargantuan task to collect each of the Pokemon across the Pokemon series, but it's another feat entirely to have a shiny version of them all. Shiny versions are a variation to the standard coloring that are extremely rare with up to a one in 8,192 chance to encounter one in some games. Therefore, they are much more valuable to Pokemon collectors.
For those embarking on a shiny quest, you’ll want to know which of the games are best to hunt shinies in. Some have better base rates to increase the odds of an encounter, others have items to improve your odds, and some have unique game mechanics that chip aw🦂ay at the atrocious grind needed to obtain shinies.

12 🧸 Pokemon Crystal
Pokemon Crystal just barely makes the ꧋list as it has a unique advantage over o✃ther games thanks to the Odd Egg. The Odd Egg has a 15% chance of becoming a shiny and a 50% chance if you’re playing a Japanese language version.
Once you hatch this egg you’re reduced to the standard method of shiny hunting with a 1/8,192 chance of one appearing in the wild❀. There is a Ditto exploit using the Generation I games and trans🐬ferring it to Pokemon Crystal, but for the rest in the Pokedex, you’re going to have to grind.
11 Pokemon Diamond, Pearl, And🗹 Platinum 💃
These games have 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:a game mechanic known as the Masud꧅a Metho✤d that increases your odds of obtaini𒀰ng a shiny Pokemon from breeding. You need a Pokemon from your game to breed with a Pokemon obtained from a different language version of the game.

Basica༺lly you must catch or defeat this shiny before ❀you’re able to progress and the odds of encountering it is a guarantee. Apart from Gyrados, you’re still grinding for everything else.
9 Pokemon Brilliant Diamond And Shining Pearl ✃
In the Diamond and Pearl remakes, the Masuda Method, PokeRadar, and the now renamed Shiny Charm all make their triumphant return. What separates the remakes from the originals is 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the addition of the Grand Un🍃derground.
While there is no specific way to increase the shiny encounter rate, there are a ton of methods to increase regular encounter rates. While the Lightstone Effect does increase your shiny catching odds, it only lasts for four minutes, so it isn't actually that useful. In these games, the player has a few more options at their disposal when it comes to shiny hunting. There’s the familiar Masuda Method and the Cute Charm is replaced with the Shiny Charm 🌳and the Oval Charm to increase your odds.
There’s also SOS Chaining. During a battle, w🦄ild Pokemon have a chance of calling an ally to help them in battle, when one of those Pokemon faint the remainder has a chance of calling an ally essentially making it an infinite battle if you’re careful. Each successive Pokemon t🧸hat joins has an increased chance of being a shiny Pokemon. Granted after 255 allies the odds reset, and you have to start over, but this is a great tactic for getting shinies.
None of the Leg꧅endaries will have shiny variants. Those are: Tapu Koko, Tapu Lele, Tapu Bulu, Tapu Fini, Cosmog, Solgagelo, and Lunala. Also, none of the Ultra Beasts will have shiny variants. Those are; Nihilego, 🎉Buzzwole, Pheremosa, Xurkitree, Celesteela, Kartana, Guzzlord, and Necrozma.
7 Pokemon UltraSun And UlꦜtraMoon ♌
These games are better than the original series because the♏y add a new mechanic in addition to the Shiny Charm, Masuda Method, and SOS Chaining.
Unique to this game is Wormhole Hunting. In Ultra Warp Rides, players can have a greater odd of encountering shinies. Rare three-ring wormholes and traveling a distance of five thousand ly gives you a 36% chance of encountering a shiny. 6 🐼 Pokemon Omega Ruby And Alpha Sapphire
For these games, the DexNav gives better odds than the Poke Radar for finding shinies. In addition to the standard methods mentioned in the other entries, there 🍸is also Chain Fishing and Horde Hunting.
Chain Fishing is simply fishing in the same area over and over again with each consecutive Pokemon increasing the odds of a shiny appearing to a max of 1%, though after 20 the chain resets. Horde Hunting 🔥is essentially grinding until a horde strikes which jumps your odds of encountering a shiny to 1/273 with a charm. The move Sweet Scent and the item Honey can help trigger hordes.
There are a few Pokemon in this game that do not have shiny variants. The Pokemon in question are; Kyogre, Gro꧅udon, Rayquaza, and Deoxys. The only way to obtain shiny versions of these Pok♔emon is illegitimately.
5 ဣ Pokemon ꦑX And Y
In these games, there are a number of unique mechanics that dramatically improve the odds of finding shinies. For starters, the Friend Safari is accessed after entering the hall of fame and registered a real-ꦰworld friends game. It’s a Safari that has a much higher rate of shinies appearing.
There’s also s꧂emi-AFK egg hatching that doesn’t increase your odds but makes it easier to grind the Masuda Method. Aside from these and the standard m👍ethods the game has an increased base rate of catching shinies at 1/4096.
Unfortunately, non🔴e of the lege😼ndary Pokemon in this game can have a shiny version. This means that under no circumstances will Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Mewtwo, Xerneas, Yveltal, and Zygarde ever be shiny.
4 Pokemon GO 𒉰
is a great game for hunting for shinies as it has a base encounter rate of 1/450. This is a huge jump from the base rate of 1/4096 encountered in previous Nintendo games. It’s also much easier to transfer these Pokemon to your other games 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:thanks to Pokemon Home.
That being said you’ll still have to go 🐷out and walk around to encounter shinies, which might cause some players to rankꦓ this lower on the list as this limits the amount of grinding you can do and takes longer which could offset the higher probability rate.

Pokemon Let’s Go either the Pikachu or Eevee version is fantastic for catching shinies as the rate for encountering shinies can be improved to a whopping 1/273 if you're using the Shiny Charm, Lures, and the Catch Combo.
The Catch Combo is basicall🦄y what happens when you start c🌄atching the same Pokemon over and over again. The highest this stack can reach is 31 and does not reset. So grab a Charm, Lures, and start grinding Pokemon!
The only two Pokemon that can never be shiny in this game are the starting ꦐPikachu and Eevee the player begins the game with. Everything else can appear as a shiny.
