There are a lot of perks that come with being a Legendary Pokemon. Competitively speaking, the best perk to have is getting a really powerful move a♏ll to yourself.
Not 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:every Legendary Pokemon has one, but those that do have signature moves instantly get some extra viability for having access to a move no other Pokemon has access to — especially if the move is really good. Whether it's thanks to pure power, a niche secondary effect, or a combination of both, these particular signature moves have tons of value in the competitive space and are quite threatening in their own ways.
Updated February 4, 2023, by Kyle Laurel: Pokemon Legends: Arceus and Pokemon Scarlet & Violet introduced a few more Legendaries with their own signature moves, so stick around to see which of them got the nod here!
21 Thousand Waves𝄹
Thousand Waves isn't Zygarde's most commonly utilized signature move, but it's a good attacking move in its own right, should you not have any other options.
It's a 90 base power physical Ground-type move that traps opponents and prevents escape. It's not as strong as Earthquake, but it could be a bit more situationally useful depending on what Pokemon ends up getting trapped. Still, it's a definite number two in the Dragon/Ground-type's wide arsenal of signature moves.
20 🌱 Freezing Glare / Thunderoไus Kick / Fiery Wrath
With their Galarian regional variants, the Legendary Birds each got a signature move of their respective ne꧙w types. All are 90 base power with 100 percent accuracy, though they differ quite a bit when it comes to secondary effects.
The special Psychic-type Freezing Glare has a ten percent chance to freeze the target. The 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:physical Fighting-type Thunderous Kick lowers the target's Defense, while the special Dark-type Fiery Wrath has a 20 percent chance to flinch its target.
19 Thunder Cage ꦿ ꧑
The 🍸special Electric-type movepool is pretty crowded, so you would need a good reason💙 to use a signature Electric-type move.
Regieleki's Thunder Cage fortunately fits the bill. It has the same base power as Discharge (80) and a bit less accuracy (100 percent for Discharge, 90 percent for Thunder Cage), but the user reaps more benefits for hitting its target. It's a binding move, dealing one eighth of the target's HP worth of damage and keeping them on the field for four to five turns.
18 Lunar 🤡Dance
Moves that completely heal teammates at the cost of the user's life are a dying art form (no pun intended), and while Healing Wish is a perfectly good move in that mold, Cresselia's Lunar Dance offers just a bit more.
Lunar Dance faints the user, then completely heals its next teammate's HP, PP, and status condition. Adding the PP to Healing Wish isn't enough to make a complete niche out of Cresselia, but it's a great move to have.
17 ꧟ Fusion Flare / Fusion Bolt 💃
These are the signature moves of b🐲oth Reshiram and Zekrom, and their respective Kyurem forms. Fusion Flare and Fusion Bolt are probably the most connected pair of signature moves out there, in that the use of one affects the other.
If one of them is used and🎉 the other is used immediately after, the latter move will double its base power. Otherwise, both moves are straightforward 100 base power, 100 p🅰ercent accuracy moves with no quirks.
16 👍 𝔍 Sunsteel Strike / Moongeist Beam / Photon Geyser
The signature moves of Solgaleo, Lunala, and Necrozma essentially have the same effect, only differing in type and category😼. All are 100 base power and 100 percent accuracy, and they carry the Steel-, Ghost😼-, and Psychic-types respectively.
While Sunsteel Strike and Moongeist Beam are exclusively physical and special respectively, Necrozma's Photon Geyser is either physical or special depending on which of the user's attacking stats is higher. All share another quirk of ignoring 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:abilities that could affect the move.
15 Psystrike
Mewtwo got its own signature move relatively late, but it's a move that's certainly worth its status as one of the most powerful Pokemon ever.
Psystrike is essentially an upgraded Psyshock, dealing 100 base power's worth of special damage, calculated with the target's Defense stat instead of their Special Defense stat, at 100 percent accuracy. It's stronger than both Psyshock and Psychic, and when paired with Mewtwo's immaculately high Special Attack stat, it can be very deadly.
14 Origin Pulse / Precipice Blades ꧑
As it stands, Kyogre's and Groudon's signature moves are essentially just Hydro Pump and Earthquake, respectively, with a few improvements. Origin Pulse has slightly more accuracy at 85 percent than Hydro Pump's 80 percent. Precipice Blades, while less accurate at the same 85 percent, has a higher base power (110) than Earthquake (100).
Another quirk they have is hitting every opponent in a double battle, which adds to the moves' viability across all battle formats.
13 ꦜ Spacial Rend 🥀
While Dialga's Roar of Time and Giratina's Shadow Force are tedious two-turners, Palkia's signature Spacial Rend is a reliable, one-turn attacking move that deals comparably good base power.
It deals 100 base power with a high critical hit ratio and 95 percent accuracy. As it stands, it's probably the best physical Dragon-type move out there, with other usual suspects Outrage, Dragon Rush, and Scale Shot having pretty glaring flaws that could ruin a player's momentum.
12 🃏 A🎃eroblast / Sacred Fire
Sacred Fire is technically not really a signature move anymore, but Entei is the only other Pokemon aside from Ho-Oh that can learn it. Otherwise, it shares its signature status with Lugia's Aeroblast.
Both are 100 base power, 95 percent accuracy moves; what differentiates the two is their type, category, and secondary effects. Aeroblast is a special Flying-type move with a high critical hit ratio, whereas Sacred Fir🍌e is a physical Fire-type move with a 50 percent chance to burn its target.
