Eevee is a fairly st🐠rong Normal-type, but is really meant to be evolved – rather than left in its original Normal form.
10 Not So Great – Far꧑fetch’d
Farfetch’d is a Normal/Flying type that only recently (in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Sword & Shield) received a higher step in its evolutionary line named Sirfetch’d. Sirfetch’d is a formidable opponent; Farfetch’d is best left in storage. Apart from a fairly good Attack rating this Pokémon has some pretty awful stats. Farfetch’d only learns three attack moves in Gen I; Peck, Fury Attack, and Slash. Slash is a 🌳strong Normal attack move, but the other two ꦏare only useful early in the game. It can learn Sword Dance to greatly raise its Attack; however this will give the opponent a free attack – which causes Farfetch’d to have to fight uphill.
9 Great – Persian ꦺ
Persian is a cat-like Pokémon that is the evolved form of Meowth. This Pokémon has a great Speed rating; its other stats are about average. In general, a high Speed rating is iওmportant, as it allows a Pokémon to strike first during a combat round. Persian has access to some gr♏eat attack moves – like Slash, and Bite.
The move Pay Day is almost as powerful🅺 as Slash, but also does something no other move does. Pay Day allows mo𒉰ney to be collected after fights with wild Pokémon. This move is the only way to gain money in these fights, and only Persian (and Meowth) can learn this move.
8 Not So Great – Clefable 🌜
Clefable is one of those Pokémon that is not too bad in the more modern Pokémon games, but in Gen I felt like an afterthought by the developers. In the later generation Pokémon games Clefable is a Fairy-type; which matches well against the powerful Dragon-types. There wasn’t a Fairy-type in Gen I, so it was just a Normal-type. It has alright stats; particularly its hit points and Special rating. In Gen I Special Attack and Special Defense were lumped into one stat – Special. Clefable is in the “not so great” category because in Gen I it only had two weak attack moves. These attacks 💎are Pound and Double Slap, and both are about as effective in battle as Tackle.
7 🍌 Great – Dodrio
Dodrio is a three-headed ostrich-like bird Pokémon that evolves from Doduo. This is possibly the best bird Pokémon in Gen I due to its good stats and strong move-sets. Dodrio hits hard and moves quickly thanks to its excellent Attack and Speed ratings. This Pokémon has access to two very powerful attacks – Drill Peck and Tri Attack. Tri Attack, with its 20% chance to burn, freeze, or paralyze the opponent, is particularly useful in battle. Dodrio is a great Pokémon for learning the HM move Fly. Afte🅘r a Dodrio hits one of the player’s Pokémon a common thought is, “Wow, that did way more🍰 damage than I was expecting.”
6 Not So Great – Lickitung 𒁃
Lickitung is liked by a large swathe of Pokémon players. Unfortunately, this favoritism doesn’t help it win battle𒀰s. Lickitung is an odd-looking Pokémon; it resembles a pink plush toy, and always has its large tongue hanging out of its mouth. It has a decent amount of hit point🅺s, but the rest of its stats are horrible – especially its Speed. Lickitung does get some nice attack moves though – like Stomp and Slam. Its low attack does not let it make the most of these strong attacks, and it will also usually be attacking last in a combat turn.
5 ꧋ Great – Tauros ꦺ
Tauros is a bull Pokémon that is good enough to earn a spot in a player’s 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:main party. This Pokémon hits even harder than Dodrio, and can put down even the toughest Pokémon with only a couple of atta👍cks. Tauros possesses incredibly high Attack, Defense, and Speed ratings.
Its maximum hit points and Special rating are by no means bad either. Take Down and Stomp are its best attacks, with a power of 90 and 65 respectively. A Tauros that has been taught Hyper Beam is one of the scariest Pokémon in Gen I, and one that even the mighty Mewtwo would be w♔ওise to avoid.
4 Not Sꦑo Great – Wigglytuff ꦺ
Wiggl💛ytuff is a large pink puffball with huge, innocent eyes and floppy bunny ears. It doesn’t look like it would be much of a threat, and sometimes looks can be deceiving – but not this time. Wigglytuff is extremely weak; it has a lot of maximum hit points, but all its other stats are way too low for this little puffball to be of any use in high-level battles. Wigglytuff caught in the wild will only ﷺever have/learn the same four moves; Defense Curl, Disable, Double Slap, and Sing. Sing is useful, but the only attack (Double Slap) has a measly power of 30 (15X2).
3 Great – Raticate ꦯ
Raticate was a deadly little Pokémon in Gen I. Many players stopped using their Rattata before evolving it into a Raticate because better Pokémon came along. Those players 🧸that leveled-up their Raticate to level 41 discovered just how strong this rodent can be. At level 41 it learns Super Fang - a move exclusive to Raticate (and Rattata). This move always lowers the targets hit points by half. Super Fang also works on Ghost-type Pokémon in Gen I. Using this move twice and following it with a Quick Attack will cause most opponents to faint. Another great aspect of using Raticate is its high Speed rating – it almost always moves first.
2 ♑ 💟 Not So Great – Ditto
In later generations o💝f Pokémon D🅘itto was beyond useful for players wishing to breed their Pokémon in an attempt for shiny Pokémon and egg moves. This feature wasn’t available in Gen I; so Ditto is just a Pokémon with really bad stats and only one move – Transform. Transform allows Ditto to take on the form, type, and move-set of the opponent. This isn’t as useful as it seems like it would be. The attack moves Ditto gets while transformed will likely be ineffective due to being the same type as the opponent.
1 ꦡ Great – Snꩵorlax
Snorlax is probably the strongest Normal-type Pokémon in Gen I – 💝“probably” because Tauros is also pretty tough. Snorlax has a ton of hit points, which it needs due to its low Speed rating. Its Attack is quite high though and makes even middling physical attacks used 🐭by it much more punishing than when used by other Pokémon. Snorlax can learn Hyper Beam (a physical attack in Gen I), Double Edge, Body Slam, and Headbutt. Snorlax can also learn Rest. So it’s not only one of the more damaging Pokémon, but it can also heal itself in battle. Snorlax has a huge list of TMs it can be taught – including moves like Blizzard, Thunder, Earthquake, Fire Blast, and Skull Bash.
