168澳洲幸运5开奖网𓄧:Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl is chock full of legendaries. A few are found during the events of the main story, while many more can be captured at 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Ramanas Park later on. But Heatran belongs to the slim group of legendary Pokemon that occupy certain post-game dungeon areas, which means that finding this💎 fierce guardian requires a fair bit more effort.
Where must you go? What must you do? And how can you ensure your fight with Heatran proves fruitful? Our guide covers everything you need to know in order to make Sinnoh's Fire/Steel behemoth yours for the catching.
How to Unlock the Battle Zone
Before you can take the first real step toward catching Heatran, you will need to unlock a vast post-game area that begins with the Battle Zone. Doing so is easy — simply fly to Snowpoint City and speak with a sailor by the dock who offers to take you there. This option is unavailable until you've become Sinnoh League Champion, but then, that's what makes this post-game content, right?
The Battle Zone consists of three core locations: the Fight Area, the Survival Area, and the Resort Area. The Fight Area hosts the Battle Tower, Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl's gauntlet of challenging trainer matches that can net players fabulous prizes.
The Resort Area's main feature is the Ribbon Syndicate, which is not some dark cult of decoration devotees, but rather, a shop that sells purely cosmetic accessories for your Pokemon pals. The Resort Area is also the launching point for the sea-based Route 230, one of two ways to reach Stark Mountain.
The Survival Area is a small settlement of sorts that leads to Routes 225 and 226. Route 226 is the other path toward Stark Mountain.
How to Complete the Stark Mountain Quest with Buck
You may have deduced it already, but we've bolded both ways to reach Stark Mountain for a reason: that's where you'll find Heatran.
But just showing up at Stark Mountain is hardly enough to make the magic happen. Once you've entered the area and traversed its first room, you will meet Buck, a trainer in search of a Magma Stone. Finding the Magma Stone is a matter of navigating Stark Mountain's maze-like structure, which can be a bit overwhelming. Feel free to consult the map we've included above. Your destination is "Heatran Room"... even if it's the Magma Stone you'll find here for now.
After the Magma Stone has been found, return to the Survival Area and find Buck's grandfather in the house just west of the Pokemon Center.
How to Catch Heatran
Now that Buck's quest has concluded, head back to Stark Mountain and make the trek to that same room all over again. This time, Heatran awaits your arrival.
Catching legendary Pokemon like Heatran is always going to be a greater ordeal than going after Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl's wide assortment of non-legendary fare. It requires knowledge of a proven strategy, and sometimes, more than a bit of patience.
Here's our recommended approach for catching Heatran in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl:
- Always bring a Quick Ball with you, tossing it at the very beginning of the battle. It's no good after that, and the odds aren't stellar that it will do the trick for you, but if it does, you'll be done in a flash. And frankly, there are few more blissful experiences in Pokemon games than when a Quick Ball makes quick work of mythical monsters.
- Most status effects will help, but Sleep is the biggest boon of them all. When Heatran is asleep, not only is it not thinking about pummeling your Pokemon team into the dirt, but it's also more susceptible to being captured.
- Just putting Heatran to sleep alone isn't going to cut it. The lower a wild Pokemon's HP, the easier it is to catch, and this golden rule applies to legendaries as well. For that purpose, we always recommend using False Swipe, which is guaranteed to leave Pokemon with 1HP instead of knocking them out cold.
False Swipe's TM can be purchased on the third floor of the Veilstone City Department Store. While a handful of Sinnoh Dex Pokemon do learn False Swipe by leveling up, most eligible candidates for the move can only gain access to it via this Technical Machine, so check your party (and boxes, if necessary) for a suitaꦰble swiper.
Congratulations on the catch! Heatran may be a post-game exclusive, butꦐ it can b🍰e a mean customer at the Battle Tower as well as in various online multiplayer clashes.
