For as long as Pokemon has been a part of the social lexicon, Eevees have been charming gamers and observers alike with their cute fox tails and baby-doll eyes. But this isn't about Eevee — in fact, it's never been about Eevee. It's about the plethora of Pokemon that Eevees can become. Flareon, Jolteon, and Vaporeon kicked things off in Kanto. Espeon and Umbreon joined them in Johto. Seven years after Sinnoh, Sylveon would round out the bunch, but it was in Sinnoh that Glaceon and Leafeon joined the fray.

That means players who remember Leafeon with fondness can return to their beloved Grass-type friend all over again. This guide will tell you everything you need to do to reunite with your old leafy standby or make acquaintances with the foxy green quadruped 🎐for the very first time.
How to Catch an Eevee in Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl
Raising Pokemon has always been a multistep process, and that process has begun more often than not with the fine art of tossing Poke Balls at their heads until they relent and join your party. In Pokemon BDSP, you must find an Eevee first before you can obtain a Leafeon. Let's go over how exactly to make that happen.
Eevee doesn't show up on any regional routes or even in caves of any kind. Instead, you will need to fulfill a considerable qualification before you can receive one — you need to become the Sinnoh Champion. Put another way, you cannot get an Eevee in Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl until after you've beaten the game.
It's a bummer, but it's also true to form; this is how things were in the original Diamond & Pearl, after all. Thankfully, once you've become the champion there's very little left that you need to do.
- Fly to Sandgem Town and strike up a conversation with Professor Rowan.
- Now fly to Hearthome City, enter Bebe's house, and have a chat with her.
- Bebe hands you an Eevee, no questions asked!
Not exactly an arduous endeavor.
How to Evolve Eevee into Leafeon
Now for the heart of the matter. You'll be happy to know that evolving your Eevee into a Leafeon is almost as easy as snagging that Eevee after the credits roll.
You'll need to return to an early-game location, namely Eterna Forest. If this has been your first foray 🉐with the Sinnoh generation, you might have been curious about a certain rock back when you initially made your way through Eterna Forest.
That rock is formally known as the Moss Rock. It's the one with sunlight beaming down upon it toward the southwest edge of the forest. If you're entering Eterna Forest from the south, take a left at the first fork near the sign, walk north until you bump into some trees, hang another left, and you can't miss the thing in the center of a grass patch.
The trick to getting a Leafeon here is to level up your Eevee against wild encounters close to the Moss Rock. Eevee will evolve at the next level reached, no matter if that's level 6 or level 100. (What you'd be doing with a level 99 Eevee is beyond us, but stranger things have happened.)
Enjoy waltzing around Sinnoh with your lovely new Leafeon. You've certainly earned it!
