This is part two of our official Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl complete guide and walkthrough, which picks up after leaving Professor Rowan’s lab with your fancy schmancy new Pokedex. Your next task is to reach Jubilife City - fortunately for you, you can catch some of the best early game Pokemon on the way.
Now that you’ve 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:chosen your starter and officially set off on your Pokemon adventure in earnest, it’s time to leave the comfort of your hometown for good. This, as with anything interesting in life, is easier said than done. While you shouldn’t have too much trouble throwing down with youngsters, 168澳ꦛ洲幸运5开奖网:Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & S🐠hining Pearl feature some pretty important sections at the start of the game that can be easily missed if you’re as impatient as your rival. That’s why you should stick with our BDSP walkthrough - we’ve got all the detaiไls about how to progress through the game as optimally and enjoyably as possible.
After letting your mam know that it’s time for you to make a name for yourself in the big bad world, the first thing you need to do is head back to Sandgem Town. This time around, however, you’ll sprint straight past the lab and make your way north to Route 202. Before you can progress any further, either Lucas or Dawn will teach you how to catch a Pokemon. Once the tutorial is done, you’re free to dash through the route andཧ never look back. The thing is… maybe don’t.
Route 202 is home to Shinx, which eventually grows up to become the immensely powerful Luxray. Before reaching Jubilife City, we’d argue that it’s almost essential to pick up everybody’s favourite electric cat. It won’t be of much use to you against Oreburgh City’s Rock-toting Roark, but given that Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl make use of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Sword & Shield’s automatic party-wide EXP Share function, Shinx won’t fall behind just because it’s left out of one fight. You can also pick up a Starly if you want - in our experience, Staraptor is capable of making it the whole way from Route 202 to the Hall of Fame. Bido🔴of, while useful in the original games thanks to its ability to learn multiple HMs, is unnecessary in💜 the BDSP remakes due to the fact that all HMs are now facilitated by a simple Poketch app. Sorry, Bidoof. We still love you.
Once you’ve picked up a couple of Pokemon using the PokeBalls Lucas or Dawn gave you or ones you bought yourself, battle all of the trainers on Route 202 for some vital experience. It’s a straight shot from the top of Route 202 to Jubilife City, so head on up for y🔥et another chat with Lucas or Dawn. As it turns out, your rival is hanging out in the Trainer’s School, which is a pretty big building that will be on your left as you walk ✃through the city. Go inside and beat them in another battle, but don’t leave once it’s over. There are another two trainers on the right hand side of the Trainer’s School who will battle you if you speak to them, netting you some extremely valuable experience at this point in the game.
After you leave, go back to Jubilife’s main path and head north. Aꦅ man will stop you and ask if you have a Poketch, at which point he will task you with finding three clowns to win one. You can’t progress the story until you do this, so it’s best to tick it off pronto. The first clown is just to your right next to theౠ PokeMart, whereas the second and third clowns are in front of the two largest buildings in the northwest corner of the city. The questions they ask you are incredibly simple - once you’ve got all three right, head back to the Poketch guy and get yourself a fancy new gadget. You’ll now have access to the route east of Jubilife City, but we’d recommend hanging on a bit longer to pick up some Pokemon that will come in handy later in the game.
Before leaving Jubilife, head through the western exit to Route 218. In the gate between the route and city, t𒀰alk to a fisherman to nab yourself an Old Rod. 🌺While you can’t Surf on Route 218 yet, you can fish. Hook yourself a Magikarp and head back to the city - trust me, you’ll thank me later.
It’s also worth heading north to Route 204 before venturing east onto Route 203. The route north of Jubilife is home to Budew, the first Pokemon in Roserade’s evolutionary chain. Given that Gen 4’s toughest gym leader uses Water types and one of the Elite Four members specialises in Ground Pokemon, Roserade is one of the single strongest ‘mons you can possibly get in Sinnoh. If you took our advice in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:part one of the walkthrough and are en route to Oreburgh with your starter, Shinx, Starly, Magikarp, and Budew, you’ve already got the makings of an exceptionally powerful squad. At this point you can go north to the Ravaged Path, although your way forward will be obstructed so there isn’t really any point yet. Instead, it’s best to head back to Jubilife and head towards Route 203, which we’ll cover in part three of our Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl walkthrough: 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Oreburgh City and how to beat Roark.
