Even though the stories in base Pokemon games are pretty rinse and repeat, the characters remain one of the most popular aspects of any new game. While the archetypes and roles the characters play are incredibly similar in each entry, the designs and personality have always changed, and that's where we pick out our favourites. Silver is a rival just like any other, but he's 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:my favourite because he's the meanest. Conversely, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:others꧙ like Hop and his boundless en𝓰thusiasm, where he's more of a buddy that tests you than a nemesis.

Nevertheless, each game has a fairly basic idea. You are the protagonist, and someone else begins their journey with you, selecting a starter alongside you and then fighting you at various key stages of your journey. In some games, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:a third or even fourth compani🌳on emer꧑ges as you continue through your journey, blurring the line further between friend and rival. As with anything in Pokemon 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:(see Goodra as an example), people love to sexualise these companions, even if it's a bit iffy. To finally put the matter to bed then, I'm here to rank all of the Pokemon companions by how acceptable it is to sexualise them.

Do you realise how incredibly weird it is that these characters are constantly sexualised by the community? "It's cool, I've aged Marnie up!" No you haven't, you've just drawn bigger boobs on a child. The fuck is wrong with you?

Pokemon fanart is a bit of a minefield. At least when the Pokemon are being sexualised there is an admission of weirdness and a commitment to the bit. People don't want to admit that fanart of the rivals and companions is weird, because then they'll have to explain why it's weird, and the only explanation is 'they're children', which is less 'weird' than it is 'being a massive pedo'.

There are plenty of grown adults in Pokemon you can do this with if you want. If you want to draw Professor Mirror shirtless and buff with a bulge in his jockstrap, go for it. It's not my thing, but at least that's a pretty normal thing to do. May is 12 years old. I don't care what curves you give her, or what age you say your drawing of her is. It's incredibly weird to look at a 12-year-old and think 'I bet she'd be sexy in seven years' time'. Gross.

The worst part is I love Pokemon fanart. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Pokemon Legends: Arceus is an attempt to be a more 'realistic' Pokemon game with its open-world environs, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:meaningful Poke Balls, and more interrogation of our relationship with Pokemon, but it's still very cartoonish. That's fine, that's what Pokemon is and probably always should be, but when artists create actual realistic Pokemon they're always gorgeous, terrifying, or both. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Alpha Pokemon may hunt you down in Legends, but they're still cartoon characters. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Snorlax still has ෴its silly little teeth, poking up like flat white rectangles. It's nothing on the truly realistic Garchomp you see in fanart communities, with rough, rigid scales and blood dripping down its fangs.

But the problem is you can only look at two or three of these artworks at a time before the next click in the gallery takes you to a Lolita Serena. When the Pokemon themselves are being sexualised, it is categorically NSFW and therefore filed away in a secret, shameful box. The companion art is not, because - while I'm sure these variants exist - they're rarely actually pornographic. They're just coy, sexualised-but-not-explicit drawings. And that wouldn't be a problem if the subjects of them weren't 13-year-old girls.

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this comprehensive list by TheGamer. If you disagree you're a nonce.
