First introduced in Pokémon Diamond & Pearl, the Sinnoh region is a vast place with many unique climates and landmarks to discover. From the northernmost reaches of Snowpoint City to the sprawling fields of Floaromaꦫ Town, ⛄the enhanced graphical capabilities of the Nintendo DS were put to full use in creating Sinnoh.

Sinnoh is the region of myth and creation, introducing not only the creators of space and time but the Pokémon world's god, Arceus. Because of this mythical nature, it makes sense🧔 that the region would have many hidden secrets, specifically secret locations within its map. This article will highlight 10 areas of Sinnoh many players may have missed entirely.

10 🅠 Trophy Garden

Residing just south of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Hearthome City, 🐭the Trophy Garden's mysterious nature lies in its mechanics, rather than its accessibility. Belonging to the owner of the Po♎kémon Mansion, Mr. Backlot is a wealthy man who will brag to anyone he meets of the rare Pokémon he has encountered within his Trophy Garden.

His stories are unfortunately less than real, and when mentioned by his ass♈ociate, Mr. Backlot will subtly demand that the rare Pokémon he spoke of be put in the garden. This is a unique way of obtaining Pokémon such as Azurill, Mime Jr., D♊itto, and Eevee, all by simply talking to Mr. Backlot every day.

9 Hall of O▨rigin ♏

The Hall of Origin is where Arceus, creator of the Pokémon world🥃 and all its inhabitants, resides quietly, watching over the world it created. The god of all Pokémon cannot be caught legitimately, which is perhaps how it should be. The event-item needed to access the Hall of Origin, the Azure Flute, was never officially released by Game Freak, though hackers have found ways to obtain it less than legitimately. Interestingly enough, the Hall of Origin is its own, separate location in the game's files, though it is made to appear like a hidden staircase and floor above Spear Pillar.

8 🥀 New Moon Island ꦚ

Every player of Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum can access Full Moon Island during a post-game quest, where legendary Pokémon Cresselia is capturable. New Moon Island, however, is home to the legendary Pokémon of Nightmares, Darkrai, and can only be accessed in Pokémon Platinum using the event item, the Member Card. This card was distributed via Wifi for a limited time during 2009, and inaccessible to players today due to the shutdown of Nintendo DS Wifi services. Those🔯 lucky enough to obtain a Member Card could sail to New Moon Island from Canalave City to capture their own Darkrai.

7 ཧ Seabreak Path & Flower Paradise

Another one ♎of the four event-exclusive legendaries in the Sinnoh games, Seabreak Path and Flower Paradise are accessible through the event-item Oak's Letter. Also distributed by Wifi in 2009, Oak's Letter allows the player to meet Professor Oak on Route 224, where the player can obtain the legenda🐈ry Shaymin.

Seabreak Path is the longest route in any of the main series Pokémon games, and the player can follow Shaymin down the path 🐈to Flower Paradise, where it can be caught at level 30. Once unlocked, the path and par🧸adise will appear on the map and be accessible forever.

6 Spring Path & Sendoff Spring ꦦ 🐭

Spring Path is a short path with no Pokémon present. It is accessible off of Route 214, but hidden until a certain point in the game. In Pokémon Diamond & Pearl, it appears after defeating the Elite Four, but in Pokémon Platinum, it acts as t🌠he player's exit from Sendoff Spring after escaping the Distortion World.

Sendoff Spring is considered "the fourth lake of Sinnoh that was kept secret," and th⛦e entrance into Turnback Cave. Considering Giratina was banished and forgotten from history due to its violent nature, it makes perfect sense that Sendoff Spring would also be forgotten.

5 𝐆 ﷺ Turnback Cave

Not only does Giratina have one of the legendary Pokémon's 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:coolest designs, but its lair and the puzzle within it are also arguably cool, if not also fun. Turnback Cave is a place where the barrier between the Pokémon world and the Distortion World is weaker, allowing Giratina and humans (such as the player) t0 travel between the two worlds. Accessible from Sendoff Spring, Turnback Cave attempts to force travellers to turn back, offering a confusing maze of similar rooms and pillars꧟.

4 Solaceon Ruins' Expansion🥂

Sendoff Spring isn't the only secret that Route 214 is hiding beneath its unassuming appearance. Directly west of Route 214 is Solaceon Town, home to the Solaceon Ruins, where the Pokémon Unown can be found. There are 26 var🧸iations of Unown able to be caught in the main ruins, one for each letter of the alphabet.

Not only can the player obtain alphabet Pokéball seals by catching the corresponding Unown and showing it to a boy in Solaceon Town, but two other forms of Unown can be unlocked by catching all 26 Unown variations. The Ruin M🥀aniac will dig straight through the ruins and create Maniac Tunnel, which connects to Route 214ꦛ and allows access to the upper level of the ruins, where "!" and "?" Unown can be found.

3 ꧂ ♉ Rock Peak Ruins

One of the three most unknown areas on the Sinnoh map, the Rock Peak Ruins are found in a special cave in the middle of Route 228. Good luck accessing it, though: An event is required to unlock the three ruins all across Sinnoh, and will not appear otherwise. Furthermore, these ruins only appear in Pokémon Platinum.

However, the game only recognizesꦡ an "event Regigigas" by what ball it is captured in: a Cherish Ball. If one were to hack the game to obtain Cherish Balls, any Regigigas caught with said Cherish Ball would unlock all three ruins.

2 ꦯ Iceberg Ruins

The second of the three Legendary Titan ruins ac🌞ross Sinnoh, the Iceberg Ruins are located within a special room in Mt. Coronet, most likely due to its cold climate. Regice can be caught here at level 30, though it can be battled infinitely so long as the event Regigigas is present in the player's party. The dot patte🍌rn on the floor of each ruin matches the dots of its corresponding Titan, though each Titan has seven dots in total.

1 Iron Ruins 💛 🌳

The last of the three secret ruins of Sinnoh, the Iron Ruins are, of course, located in a special room on Iron Island. The "statue" of Registeel in the room will awaken and attack, allowing the player to fight or capture a level 30 Registeel. Fun fact: the Iron Ruins appear in two episodes of the Pokémon Diamond & Pearl Series anime, "Steeling Peaꦕce of Mind!" and "Saving the World from Ruins!" In the anime, the ruins are connected to Dialga and Palkia, rather than Registeel.
