With the Pokemon anime having well over 1,000 episodes, it's safe to say Ash Ketchum has had enough adventures for several lifetimes. The plucky trainer set off on the journey of becoming the best Pokemon trainer and catching them all, but sadly fell extremely short o💫f accomplishing that.
Since his first days of stepping into the role of a trainer, he's had a connection to the Electric-type thanks to Pikachu. Here's a look at a few Electric-types Ash never caught for one ꦐreason or another♛ along his journeys across the regions.
10 Magneton
This will also be stated later, but the fact that Ash started his journey with Pikachu means that every other 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Electric-type Pokemon in the Kanto region was irrelevant to him. Why would he try and capture a Pokemon of that type when his strongest and most loyal Pokemon companion was that same type? That being said, Magneton is a neat creature with plenty of potential and cou꧂ld have made a name for itself on Ash's team. The first time Ash encountered a Magneton, it helped ⛎him escape a group of toxic Grimer.
9 🅠 Ga💦lvantula
Hailing from the 5th generation of games, Galvantula, also known as the EleSpider Pokemon, is an arachnid Ash never gets his hands on. Ash's primary experience with Galvantula and its base form Joltik was a rather terror-inducing one. Ash and the company's Electric-types are drained of their electric power from these spiders and have to rush to a Pokemon Center to heal them. It turned out that these creatures🍸 weren't evil but were desperate due t🌊o Team Rocket taking over Chargestone Cave and forcing them out of their natural habitat.
8 Zebstrika
Zebstrika is a neat Electric-type Pokemon that has similarities to Ponyta and Rapidash but is unique enough in terms of a horse-inspired Pokemon design to stand on its own🤡. One of Ash's biggest friendly rivals during Pokemon the Series: Black & White was a guy named Stephan.
When Ash is first challenged by ඣhim to a battle Stephan's Zebstrika is still a Blitzle. The neat thing is that the next time Ash and his꧂ friends run into him Stephan unveils the news that he had evolved his Blitzle into a full-blown Zebstrika.
7 Eܫlectabuzz
As neat as Electabuzz is to look at, it's a pretty plain and simple Electric-type Pokemon. Throughout his journeys 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:in the Kanto region, Ash has no reason to ever pursue another Electric-type since he has Pikachu. The most notable story Ash has regarding Electabuzz is when he and his friends s🌺tumbled upon Dark City, a place in which they witnessed rival gyms fight. One gym had a strong Scyther on their side, while the other was home to a powerful and competent Electabu🧜zz. Those two ended up chasing Team Rocket out of Dark City when things were settled.
6 Ampharos
Ampharos is the final evolution of Mareep, and most people reading this likely♔ forgot that Mareep evolved twice. The Electric-type sheep starts as a blue sheep with yellow wool and turns into a pink sheep naked Flaaffy at level 15. At level 30 that pink sheep morphs into a bright yellow bipedal mammal of some sort named Ampharos. It's a farmer-friendly Pokemon that Ash met on Floccesy Ranch and t♏hrough that experience, he learned about the Light Pokemon's strengths and weaknesses as both a battler and an ally.
5 Manectric
In the anime, A🐼sh has always feꦓlt like the type of trainer who captures Pokemon when the moment is right. He doesn't try to copy other trainers, and to that point, he'll often avoid capturing a Pokemon a friend or associate of his already owns or aspires to own. Wattson is the Gym Leader in Mauville City and during a run-in with Team Rocket alongside Ash, Watton's Electrike evolves into a Manectric. Ash witnessed what Manectric looked like and saw its pot📖ential and likely knew he could never train a Manectric better than Wattson had.
4 𝓡 Alolan Golem 💖
Ash h꧑as never been the type of trainer who catches Rock-types and that's likely due to him starting his Pokemon journey alongside his friend Brock. Brock was a Rock-type trainer and was the Gym Leader of Kanto's Rock-type gym located in Pewter City.
Alolan Golem is the regional variant of the Rock and Ground-type from the Kanto region, and its🐠 island version di𒆙tches the secondary typing of Rock for Electric. Both it's physical defense and attack base stats are rather high, with its real weakness being speed.
3 Vikavolt
Now, technically speaking Ash did catch the base form of Vikavolt, but in a cage and not a Pokeball. The reason Ash captured Charjabug was because he wanted to gift it to Sophocles, who Ash thought was leaving him soon. Sophocles eventually caught the creature himself and raised it to become a Vikavolt. Ash had a pretty close relationship with it despite him not being its trainer. Before it reached its final form, Ash lead and commanded Sophocles' Charjabug in the popu🐲lar Charjabug race.
2 Emolga
Emolga is arguably the cutest and most original of the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Pikachu clones the series has seen over the generations. This Flying and Electric-type flying squirrel is rather adorable and sports the same yellᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚow and black that are synonymous with the Electric-type. It at the✅ very least is mostly white with those colors serving as accents. The reason Ash doesn't try and catch an Emolga is because his friend Bianca becomes obsessed with catching one herself during an episode in which the crew leaves Castelia City on their way to Nimbasa Gym.
1 Luxray
Ash, throughout his journeys, helped both a Luxio and a Luxray, but never bothered capturing 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the powerful Electric-typeಞ. Luxray hails from the 4th generation of Pokemon and is known as the Gleam Eyes Pokemon. Most fans refer to it as electric Arcanine due to both Pokemon being cool and intimidating feline/canine hybrids. Ash never owned an Arcanine either, so it makes sense that he wouldn't try and acquire its Electric-type associate. Quite a miss considering how powerful Luxray can be when given the right move set.
