Ash Ketchum doesn't specialize in types like a Gym Leader, you'd be surprised just how many Fire-type Pokemon he has. Much of this 🍸is because he's incredibly fond of starter Pokemon, and while many end up being the Fire-type starters of each game, he's💧 also caught a fair number in the wild as well.
This is hardly a bad choice on his part, as Fire-type Pokemon have historically been some of the strongest in the Pokemon💖 series. Some of them are certainly stronger than others, but 🎶nearly every one of Ash's Fire-types have ended up being the strongest members of his collection.
8 Quilava
Even though many 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:fans of the Johto games are deeply attached to Cyndaquil and its evolܫutionary line, Ash's Quilava is alarmingly underwhelming compared to his other Fire-type Pokemon. It has some great Fire-type attacks and can move especially fast, but its lack of a secondary typing and unique traits hurts it wildly.
This is true of Quilava in the games as well, with Typhlosion rarely learning any moves that can utilize its great Speed and offensive stats🗹. It's certainly stronger than many of Ash's other Pokemon, but definitely a disappointment compared to his other Fire-types.
7 Torkoal
Torkoal is one of Ash's often-forgotten Fire-types, not ♊having been used in many adventures past his Hoenn journey and not being a starter Pokemon like many of them tend to be.🍸 This is a shame, though, as this defensive Pokemon has a wide set of incredibly powerful moves that are common among most competitive Fire-types.
These include Overheat, Heat Wave, and even the standard Flamethrower, which all can deal tons of damage alongside a special ability to blast out smoke. That said, Torkoal usually works better as a defensive tank with suppor🙈t🐓 moves in the games, so Ash is very likely not getting the most out of Torkoal's actual strengths.
6 Pignite
Another unevolved starter of Ash's, Pignite, is signi🌃ficantly more unique than many of his other Fire-types. Ash doesn't catch many Pokemon with a Fighting subtype, making moves like Brick Break quite effective when dealing with Rock-types that would normally harm it.
Unfortunately, Pignite really feels 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:its missing evolution, as its defensive prowess and Fighting-type moves expand far more when it becomes an Emboar. If Ash were to simply evolve it, it would absolu🎃tely be one of the best Fire-type Pokemon in his teams.
5 🤪 Talonflame ♔
Talonflame is one of the most underwhelming Flying-type Pokemon he owns, but as a Fire-type it's much more effective. This Pokemon is known for its overpowered Gale Force abilജity, which lets Flying-type attacks move with priority speed to give it a remarkable amount of quickness.
Ash's Talonflame lacks this, 𓂃but it instead has a great set of aggressive moves that make it an incredibly fast and powerful fighter. It essentially has all the strengt♕hs that Quilava should have had but manages to lack due to Quilava just having fewer interesting moves and no worthwhile subtype.
4 ༒ ⛄ Incineroar
At this point, it's clear that Ash's Fire-type Pokemon don't get too much better than his starters, many of which being some of the most iconic members o🌼f his team. One of the first of these𝓀 worth mentioning is Incineroar, who evolved from a Litten after a massive amount of time before evolving during the Alola tournament.
This gave it just the boost of power it needed, as it already was burning through opponents at an incredible rate with moves like Fire Blast and Revenge for incredible damage. It's a Pokemon that grew incredibly well from its origins as a timid and secretive kitten and is a powerful Fire and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Dark-type Pokemon that's unlike most of Ash's other Pokemon.
3 ꦉ Chaﷺrmander
Charmander is the real first Fire-typ🌸e Ash owned,🔥 and through both raw power and an emotional bond, it beats out most of Ash's later options. Even though it's quite freshly caught, it quickly learns some of the strongest Fire-type moves in the game like Flame Thrower and Skull Bash
Something interesting, though, is that its powers would only get weaker as it evolved for a while. Becoming a Charmeleon led it to hate Ash and not want to follow commands, making Charmander on its own feel like an entirely different Pokemon fro🌱m its later evolutions.
2 Charizard
When we said that Ash's Charmander got weaker as it evolved, there's technically a point where 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:it got much stronger again. This would be far distant after its evolution into Charizard, while it was still growing through its stubbornness after leading💃 Ash to some losses.
This changed𓆉 after getting some training with fellow Charizard owner Liza, who gave Ash's Charizard the courage and strength to be far more cap🦹able in battle. It even managed to take down Gary's terrifying Blastoise in the Silver Conference, something extremely impressive given the type disadvantage.
1 Infernape
While other Fire-types on Ash's team needed tons of additional training that he couldn't provide, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:his partnership with Infernape has led to it being Ash's strongest Fire-type by far. This powℱerful ape combines tons of features mentioned earlier, from a wide 🐻range of attack types to a remarkable amount of speed and strength.
Stats aside, Ash work🎀s with Infernape especially well on an emotional level, as his origins after receiving it from his rival Paul led the two to become extremel🌌y close fighters. Ash has few bonds with his starters as strong as this one with Infernape, making him one of the best options that Ash has regrettably hardly used.
