Pokemon Fan's Minecraft Hoenn Recreation Was Reportedly Used To Develop ORAS
The post is a single image of a Minecraft version of around half of Hoenn, and it's this image th🀅at Game Freak apparently used as part of a mock-up for the game's flying mechanics. In the image shared by Centro Leaks, we can see Bidoof_King's Minecraft creation on the top screen with a boy flying a Latios pasted over the top, while the bottom screen shares a more traditional map of Hoenn.
Of course, this mock-up was never intended to see the light of day, and was most likely used as a placeholder while arti♌sts were working on official material. It very clearly looks like someone at Game Freak simply used the map as a proof of concept, rather than for anything particularly nefarious, and the actual birds' eye view we got of Hoenn in Pokemon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire looks nothing like ജBidoof_King impressive recreation.
In fact, despite the post that was used bein📖g 11 years old, , explaining that they're "blown away by this" and that it "made their day", so no harm no foul. It's just yet another int♋eresting insight into how development works over at Game Freak - something we've been getting a lot of recently - and a little reminder that Game Freak absolutely sees what you post on Reddit, so be on your best behavior.
