The Fire-types of  have always been amongst the most popular. The go-to starter for many trainers, they're powerful, pack a punch, and usually have pretty cool designs. Although they're weak to Wate🥂r-types, they have many advantages (Steel, Ice, Grass, Bug!) an🌠d generally, it's almost like playing the games on easy mode.

A trainer's can make or break their Fire-type, though. Some moves sound awesome but in practice, are not. And amongst aꦅll of the awesome moves𒁃, some have flown under the radar for a long time even though they're awesome to have.

10 No ౠOne Uses: Incinerate

Incinerat✃e is a mo🍒ve that destroys the held berry of the opponent.

Sounds pretty cool but in reality, this is useless. Berries only restore a minuscule amount of hitpoints, and trainers could probably do moꦫre damage just by launching another attack rather than using a turn to destroy a berry. Of course, if you need the opponent to stay asleep or poisoned, this might be worth it — but otherwise, it's not important enough to take up a precious move space.

9 Under T♌he Radar: Bl🦩aze Kick

Blaze Kick is often thought of as just another Fire move, similar ꧅to Flamethrower or Ember, but it can be so much better. As well as being a Fighting-type move, it has a high critical hit ratio and it also might burn the opponent.

Critical hits can be crucial when a battle is coming down to the wire, and burn damage isn't something to sneer at either. Not allꦡ Fire-types can learn this move, but the ones who can, should keep it.

8 No One Uses: Sunny D🦋ay 🃏

Sunny Day brings out the sun for five turns and keeps  heightened but it's simply not good enough to be recommended to keep in a space. There are moves that are far better, and it doesn't raise the Fire-type moves enough to be considered that useful.

7 Under The Radar: Fire Fang 🗹

Anothꩵer move that can cause a burn while also doing a decent amount of damage is Fire Fang.

This move, however, is even better if trainers have a speedy Pokémon on their hands. If this move goes first, there's a pretty decent chance the oppﷺonent will flinch, rendering them useless for a turn. This can be especially frustrating to be on the end of, but it's great for the Pokémon who isn't flinching!

6 No One Uses: Fire Spin 🐼

A move that traps an opponent for five turns and does damage each time sounds awesome, but in realಞity, it's not.

Fire Spin might trap the user, but the damage it does is just not great — usually, a trainer could do more damage in one single tu🗹rn by using Blaze Kick or Fire Blast. Sounds great on paper, but in practice? Might as well let this one go, or choose not to teach it in the first place.

5 Under The Radar:🍸 Flame Burst

Flame Burst is great for team battles, b😼ecause there's a chance it'll😼 injure nearby Pokémon — and if you're fighting more than one at the same time, this is the move to go for (especially if one or both of the opponents are weak to Fire-types!). If you're down to the last Pokémon, this can be especially useful in enabling you to fight two at once.

4 No One Uses: Blast Burn 🐎

In Blast Burn is just fine. In the games where it requires the ಌuser to recharge next turn (which is pretty much the rest of them), it's better swapped out for a fire move that can do that much damage but doesಞn't require a recharge. Unless you're about to wipe out the last Pokémon in the other person's party, with this one move, it's just not worth it.

3 🧜 Under The Radar: Eruption 🎃

Eruption is a great move if used at the start of the battle, because it's one of very few moves that's stronger when HP is higher. If you're usin♐g this as it's coming down to the wire, sure, it's not a great move — but🔜 that's bad use of it.

Use it to start the battle with a ba🌼ng, and it's worth having.

2 ꧙ No One Uses: Fiery Dance

Very rarely is it a good idea to waste a turn on a stat move, and this one that raises Special Attack is no exception. Trainers will do more damage using Flamethrower twice than Fiery Dance then Flamethrower, so there's really no good justification to ha﷽ving it.

1 Under The Radar: V-Create♛

This stat move is the exception to the rule!

V-Create lowers defense, special defense, and speed. This is huge for a stat move, since i✨t's lowering three at once rather than the usual one. If you're going to save a Fire-type space for a stat move, this is the one to aim for. Team it with something like Fire Fang to lower the speed of the other Pokémon then have them flinching in response to you.
