The world of Pokemon favors adventure for one very particular group of people: Pokemon trainers. Having already gone on their respective journeys, these specific Gen 1 trainers have become renowned for their gyms and Pokemon teams. But it's safe to say that every team needs its leader.
Of these teams of six Pokemon, one stands out as each trainer's signature critter. One trainer's Pikachu to his Ash, if you will. Yet, how compatible are they? Were they destined for greatness together, or are some much more favorable than others?
9 𒊎 Bruno And Machamp
The Elite Four member, Bruno, and🅷 Machamp may seem like a match made in heaven. Comparisons between the two can easily be made. Both are highly muscular, lean on their strength, and spew out d🃏etermination. Yet, Bruno may not be all that he is made out to be.
In some incantations, Bruno is a big ol' phony. Machamp seems to be anything but. Bruno has also been known to admit a thing or two. Most importantly, his Pokemon trainer strategy is to catch strong Pokemon simply. Doesn't that seem like skipping a few steps? The second admittance being that trainers and Pokemon work better together if they care for each other.
8 🔥 Agatha And Gengar
Agatha is known for taking breaks from her Elite Four seat to be an impromptu gym leader from time to time🔥. Wherever she is battling, she le💝ans heavily on biding her time and countering her opponents. She tends to be highly confident and collected when heading into battle.
It's worth mentioning that, like other trainer-specific Pokemon, Agatha's Gengar seems to be a bit uncharacteristic. They appear much more focused than their other counterparts. Typically, Gengars are generally much more of a sporadic and comical character.
7 Sabrina And Alakazam 🅠
This pairing may be the most no-brainer combo in or out of Pokemon that nobody talks about. Saffron's Gym Leader was born with psychic powers. Pairing her up with the psychic-type powerhouse that is Alakazam is an easy win. Sabrina is even known as the master of all psychic 🌠Pokemon, so it's only fitting.
Both Sabrina and powerful psychic Pokemon, like this very Alakazam, have been known to cause headaches to those around them by simply using low-level psychic abilities. The only argument to be had is that maybe Mewtwo would be a better duo for her. Yet, Mewtwo far exceeds human capability and is, in fact, a legendary. So, we'll give her a pass.
6 Brock And Onix 𝓰
168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Brock, a fan favorite, is the first gym leader players battle. He is known for his willpower, or as he would refer to it, a rock-hard 🔯mentality. So, it is no coincidence that Brock, someone who has the word rock in his ✃name, favors rock-type Pokemon and who better than the massive and mighty Onix.
Brock's Onix, now a Steelix, favors strength and digging. While Brock prefers the will of rock-type Pokemon, the strategy involved in the delayed move dig supports Brock's character. Brock is a highly seasoned and knowledgeable character, so moves beyond primary attacks that favor a little strategy fit him well.
5 ♎ Erika And Gloom ꦛ
Celadon City's Gym Leader, Erika, is known for favoring Pokemon she considers attractive. However, being a botanist nudges her personal view of what she quantifies as attractive favors botanical characteristics. She also relies heavily on status effects in battle.
Gloom seems like the perfect complimentary Pokemon to be Erika's signature despite the apparent argument against botanical beauty. Considering Erika specializes in perfumes or aromas, Gloom may be the only choice. And for the proverbial icing on the cake, if you will, Erika always wears kimonos, and historically, Gloom's move of choice is Petal Dance.
4 🌳 Lorelei And Lapras 🦹
Lorelei is generally the first Elite Four member players see, but she gives it all up to protect her family in some references. Her battle mantra is to go with the flow like water but become hard as ice in times of need. She's also known to disregard her skill and popularity, instead pointing the love to others. Misty even idolizes her, so she must know her stuff.
Pairing her up with Lapras is an excellent choice. Lapras is known for being much more intelligent than ant🦄icipated and helping Pokemon and people alike. The duo of two ca🍸lculated and helpful individuals shines true with these two.
3 ♉ Lt. Surge And ♉Raichu
It's really in the name with this one. Pairing up anyone referred to as the Lighting Lieutenant with an electric-type Pokemon is a no-brainer, but it goes beyond that. Both individuals are smug and highly confident. More importantly, both Lt. Surge and Raichu favor those with a lot of guts.
Lt. Surge sets up traps and invites trainers to attempt his gym, hoping one will have the guts to at least give it a go. On top of the personality traits, Surge favorsꦦ Pokemon in their final stage or at least evolved. Raichu, being not only evolved but somewhat rare, fits Surge to a tee.
2 Giovanni A🍸nd Rhydon ꧃
Maybe one of the most prominent plot twists ever in Pokemon, Giovanni isn't only the big bad for Team Rocket but also the final gym leader before entering the Elite Four. Giovanni focuses primarily on ground-type Pokemon, but more importantly, he is a secretive character specializing in the collection of rare Pokemon.
Giovanni is a menacing figure, and Rhydon compliments that image. It's also fitting that Rhydon is thought to be one of the first conceptual Pokemon, depending on how you look at it. Giovanni pairing up with a looming yet historical Pokemon like Rhydon seems more than fitting.
1 Lance And Dragonite 🦩
Lance iಌs arguably the coolest ൲trainer ever to exist. He is the final Elite Four member players face, his grandfather is the elder of the clan of Dragon Masters, and he's known as a real hero with a fan-following. He pursues Dragon-type Pokemon because he believes their difficulty in raising and catching signifies their dominance.
One could argue that any high-level Dragon-type would be an appropriate signature. However, choosing Dragonite as complimentary to his ෴strength, but in contrast to another popular should-be Dragon-type, Charizard reinforces his effort to🐽 the craft. His particular Dragonite is always known for defeating two very powerful Fearows in a 2-on-1 battle. It speaks for itself.
