As we are all painfully aware, the pandemic has had an impact on games in all sorts of ways, from major events moving to online only to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:game launch delays. In terms of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Pokemon Go, Niantic had previously updated their ౠgame to accommodate for the pandemic by allowing players to interact with PokeStops and Gyms from further away than they could before. However, it seems like those days will be coming to an end.
To the surprise of no one, players were upset over Niantic’s announcement that they were going to revert the distances sometime this summer. It wasn’t just that it’s safer to keep as much distance from other players as pos🌳sible, but many pointed out that the larger distances made the game more accessible to those struggling witཧh disabilities. Additionally, players were able to avoid trespassing and avoid potential harassment from other players.
Unfortunately, ꦕit seems that Niantic isn’t going to be too concerned. Some Pokemon dataminers for Po🎉kemon Go, (who run the Twitter page ), have just stated the following today:
The interaction ranges have been pushed to the Game Master in anticipation of the changes bei🃏ng reverted. This is the first time we have hard confirmation of these distances. These will be reverted soon though however.
- Stop range (how far you can be away to spin a stop): 80m
- Interaction range (how far you can be before you can't interact with a gym anymore): 2000m
- Remote range (how far you can be to start a remote raid): 3500m
The distances that they outlined above are the current values, but they’re said to be changing in the near future. We aren’t seeing an exact date for when yet, but considering it’s about to be August and Niantic had stated this would take place sometime this summer, it’s bound to be coming up quickly. We'd thought there was a possibility that Niantic would take the new Covid Delta variant into account, but it seems that hasn't been enough to sway them.
