Niantic has announced 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Pokemon Go Fest 2022, surprising nobody.🥂 The annual summer event is returning, in summer. We all knew it was coming. However, exact𝔉ly what it entails is news. There’s Customised Special Research and a new Unown debuting, both of which are exciting, the former especially. However, I want to talk about the new shinies.

Shiny Pokemon are exciting. They’re easier to get your hands on in Go than other games, although the odds vary and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:some people enjoy th♐e most challenging hunts rather than grinding the 1/50 Pokemon Go event chance to rack up as many as possible. Whether I grind a Community Day or other 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Pokemon Go event often depends on the quality of the shiny involved, and like every Pokemon fan I have my own personal tier list of shinies. Gigalith is top, followed by Mega Gengar and Obstagoon. Luxray and Rayquaza ar𒁃e up there too.

Looking at the Go Fest 2022 lineup, you might be initially disappointed by the shinies available. Shroomish is mid, Numel and Axew barely change colouration at all. Another Unown? Great. Shelmet and Karrablast, sure, they’꧃re okay, but the Pokemon themselves are just little bug dudes, hardly the most exciting monsters around. Sorry to all the Shelmet and Karrablast stans out there. All three of you.

Pokemon Go Fest 2022 Is Introducing Some Of The Best Shinies 3

But, dear reader, j✨ust you wait until these Pokemon evolve. Breloom turns a lovely shade of red, turning from a friendly forest mushroom to a poisonous fungi. Its new hue gives it an angry presence, like it’s storing up its energy and is ready to properly knock your block off with a Dynamic Punch. Unless you’re a Flying-type that is.

Escavalier and Accelgor are underrated, if easily forgettable, shinies. Evolving from Karrablast and Shelmet respectively, Escavalier gains a gorgeous hot pink plume and its pins gain stripes of the same tone. Accelgor’s lucha-esque mask/head/carapace turns gold, as if Midas himself had a hand in designing its shiny form. I actually had no idea how cool Escavalier’s shiny was until I stumbled across one in Pokemon Sword & Shield’s Dynamax Adventures, and it’s only grown on me since then. Escavalier is also probably one of the🐠 best Pokemon from Go Fest for PvP in Go Battle League, so bear that in mind when checking your IVs. It’s also worth trading as many shinies of this pair with friends as possible to waive the Candy fee for evolving them.

Numel and Axew are both funny shinies. Barely discoloured in the Basic form, th🃏ey both turn jet black when they evolve. This might be too common a change for hardcore shiny hunters - it’s the Charizard, the Rayquaza, a popular and admittedly overused shiny palette - bu⛄t Camerupt and Haxorus look excellent. The red details on Haxorus’ fins/spikes/tusks/whatever-they-are really pop against its black scales, and the colour scheme just works so well on a cool ass dragon. I’ve also only caught one Axew so far in the game, so I’m excited to save up my Pinap Berries and finally grind some Candy for it.

On the other hand, Camerupt really comes into its own when it Mega Evolves. With the reworked Mega system being introduced l🦩ike, now-ish apparently, I fully expect Mega Camerupt to be available in raids during Go Fest 2022. Shiny Camerupt’s black fur is suddenly contrasted with the bright orange molten lava erupting from its Mega’s back-💜mounted volcano, and it’s unlucky not to make my top five shinies of all time. I don’t bother with Mega raids, I think they’re a waste of passes as Megas don’t offer much in terms of gameplay at present, and most energy will be available through Research Tasks before too long. But I’ll make an exception for Camerupt. I need to Mega Evolve a shiny boi as quickly as possible and buddy him up to show off one of Pokemon’s best shiny designs to date. I can’t wait. If its Mega is indeed available when shiny Camerupt is introduced in June, that means you’ll be able to encounter shiny Camerupt in the wild, too, which would be incredibly exciting.

There are a bunch of reasons to get excited for Go Fest this year, but if Pokemon events are judged only by th🌊eir available shinies - which they often are - this might just be the best yet.
