Pokémon GO is aiming to take over your lunch break 💙by holding a special event next week.

According to , successful people do several things over their lunch breaks, inclu🐻ding exercising, networking, running personal errands, and planning out their next corporate takeover.

They also recommend getting out of the office. Pokémon GO ticks off two marks on that list, so you could make the argument that successful people play Pokémon GO during their lunch. We’re sure that’s exactly what Business Insider intended to convey in their article.

We’re also sure that’s exactly what Niantic would like their players to think as they embark on an hour-long series of gym raids 🤪instead of eating whatever tasteless microwavable lunch said players brought from home.

Recently announced in Pokémon GO’s home page is the , which boldly assumes that everyone gets an hour for lunch. We’ll have you know that us peons at TheGamer b꧑arely geཧt 20 minutes, and that’s only after we collectively begged for the opportunity to consume sustenance during work hours.

According to , 56% of American employees have a lunch break that’s either 30 minutes or less. So Niantic might be making an overestimation on how much time people have for lunch. Or maybe they’re assuming this ev🥃ent will be ꦯmore popular in Europe, where lunch breaks are often much longer than 30 minutes.

Anyway, the event itself is simple: on March 13th between the hour of noon and 1 PM local time, there will be increase raids available in Pokémon GO. That’s itꦿ. That’s the ꧒whole thing: just a bunch more raids for one hour.

So on March 13th, scarf down that Tupperware container of yesterday’s𒐪 leftovers and head outside for some raiding. Or remain helplessly chained to your desk ask the vast majority of corporate wage slaves are.

If we’re super lucky, Niantic will somehow convince the entire United States of America to change its workplace culture enough to allow hour-long lunches. This would be the first good thing that Pokémon GO has ever done for a country, and we here at TheGamer support it wholeheartedly.
