When Pokémon Go took the world by storm back in 2016, most likely labeled it a fad. To an extent, they might have been right. The groundbreaking mobile game was never going to be able to sustain the popularity it had in those first few months. However, almost three years on from its original release, Pokémon Go is still incredibly popular.
Like other developers of popular free-to-play games have discovered, the key is to make the game feel fresh while maintaining what drew players in to begin with. Niantic continues to do a tremendous job with that via Pokémon Go. Whether it be unlea▨shing new generations of Pokémon onto the world or adding new f💝eatures players have been clamoring for, Niantic knows what it's doing.
As always though, there are still some complaints. A long-standing issue has been some Pokémon only being available to players via gym raids, particularly legendaries. Unless you live in an area with a bustling Pokémon Go community, catchin𓆏g legendary Pokémon via a gym raid isn't an option. That has left many of us with glaring omissions in our Pokédex.
However, as pointed out by , there is now hope. Legendary Pokémon Azelf, Mesprit, and Uxie have now made their debut in the game, but not as raid bosses. Instead, players are required to go out and find them in the wild, just like you do with most other Pokémon. They won't come easy, though. They are still legendary Pokémon after all so won't appear all that often. Plus, when you do happen upon t🐼hem, we i🎶magine they'll be pretty difficult to pin down.
While not confirmed, it also seems like each of the thr🅘ee legendaries are currently locked to specific regions. Azelf has only been seen in the Americas and Greenland, Mespirit has been caught in Europe, and Uxie appears to be exclusive to the Asia/Pacific region. As with other Pokémon of this nature, we fully expect them to be cycled around the world eventually. Again though, this is yet to be confirmed by Niantic.
