Mega Rayquaza's Mega Raid is among the most difficult of this specific Raid tier, requiring you to group up with others in order to comfortably complete it. More specifically, you will need at least a group of four to six experienced Trainers to defeat Mega Rayquaza in this Raid.
If the group of Trainers that you are Raiding with is generally less-experienced, this group size will have to be increased. When this is the case, do your best to go into this Mega Raid with a group of at least six to eight Trainers.

Mega Rayquaza: Strengths And Weaknesses
Like its standard form, Mega Rayquaza has a Dragon and Flying dual-typing. To make this Raid battle as easy as possible, you will have to select your Pokemon very deliberately, making sure that you are choosing those with attacks that take advantage of Mega Rayquaza's weaknesses.
To do this, you will want to choose Pokemon with either Ice, Dragon, Fairy, or Rock-type attacks. Although all of these attack types are super-effective against Mega Rayquaza, Ice-type attacks are optimal for this Raid due to this Pokemon's double-weakness to them.
On the other hand, you will absolutely want to avoid using Grass, Ground, Water, Fire, Fighting, and Bug-type Pokemon and attacks.
