Whether it’s event spawns not appearing, shinies not being turned on, or raids kicking you out after you’ve travelled for miles to take part in them, something always goes wrong. Hoenn Tour was the except💮ion that proved the rule, but it also showed that Niantic can get things ri🌱ght.
El♍ite Raids have a place in Pokemon Go, but there’s no excuse for the broken events th✃at people in New Zealand and the GMT+13 time zone have to put up with. These places are not testing grounds, not petri dishes for Niantic’s latest experimental feature, they’re full of hardcore fans who want to play the same game as the rest of us.
Niantic obviously can’t change the fact that GMT+13 is the earliest time zone, so it will always get events first. However, it could more thoroughly test events before pushing them live, rather than working on retroactive fixes that help everybody except those on New Zealand time. Make-up days help mitigate things, but it’s simply not good enough. Players in this region deserve full apologies, an🦹d maybe even full events that don’t hit the rest of the world to ♛make up for the constant errors. Just make sure the make-up events work, Niantic.
