This event will be taking place over the course of about a week, available from Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at 10AM to Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at 8PM. With all the changes and bonuses that will be present during this event window, use this complete event guide to make sure that you're not missing anything during Pokemon Go's Festival of Colors.
Pokemon Debuts
There will be two different Pokemon making their debuts with this event, each encountered and obtain through different aspects of the game. First, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Mega Medicham168澳洲幸运5开奖网: will be making its debut in Mega 🎶R🍒aids during the time of this event. Make sure to group up with other Trainers to battle Mega Medicham in its Raid, earning you the brand-new Medicham Mega Energy upon its successful completion.
Additionally, Bruxish, the colorful Generation Seven Psychic- and Water dual-type Pokemon, will be making its Pokemon Go debut with this event. During this event window, Bruxish can be found and caught both in the wild, and following the completion of its One-Star Raid.
Make sure to take advantage of these two Pokemon debuts while you can, as it is unclear when you'll have the chance to encounter and catch them in the future.
Event Bonuses
There will only be three main bonuses for this event, although a couple of them may prove to be extremely valuable. Each of these bonuses is available to all players who log in and play Pokemon Go✤ during this event, and can be found below.
- The duration of Lure Modules will be increased to three hours
- The speed of Friendship Level increases will be doubled
- Take a few snapshots daily for an in-game surprise
First, with increasing Friendship Levels being one of the most efficient ways to gain XP and increase your overall Trainer Level, the double Friendship Level increase speed will prove to be extremely valuable. Make sure to send Gifts and interact with different Trainers on your friends list during this event to rapidly gain tons of XP.
Additionally, Smeargle encountered from snapshot surprises will have the chance of being Shiny during this event. Typically, this is not a possibility, nor will it be following the conclusion of this event, so make sure you're taking several snapshots during this event for a chance to catch this rare Smeargle variant.
Event Research
Field Research Task Encounters
You will have the opportunity to obtain and complete Event Field Research Tasks throughout this event window, obtained by visiting PokeStops and spinnܫing their Photo Discs. Those that provide you with a Pokemon encounter as a completion reward will give you the chance to catch one of many event-themed Pokemon.
Make sure to collect and complete these Event Field Research Tasks for a chance to come across and catch one of the 𝓰following Pokemon.

Event Collection Challenge
There will be a Festival of Colors-themed Collection Challenge coming with this event. This will require you to catch several event-themed Pokemon in order to be completed, earning you various rewards for doing so. For this specific Collection Challenge, you will be rewarded with a Lure Module and 20,000 XP upon its completion.
Event Wild Encounters
During this event, there will be a drastic change in the Pokemon that are commonly found in the wild, many of which are vibrant and colorful because of this event's theme. Make sure you're taking advantage of this spawn pool change, as some of these Pokemon prove to be difficult to find and encounter otherwise.

Like wild encounters, the Pokemon found in the Raids during this event will be changed, also following this event's colorful theme. This includes several different Pokemon, ranging in their Raid difficulty depending on which tier of Raid they can be found in.
