It's time for another event, this time one celebrating the shift from Winter to Spring. To commemorate the fact that the weather is finally getting nicer, Niantic is having Grass-type Pokémon spawn more frequently. The Field Research quests and rewards are also Grass-type themed. Of 🐓course, the raids are offering Grass-types too.
For the following week, most of the usual raid bosses will replaced with Grass-type Pokémon. Legendaries like Dialga will still be around, but the e💫vent offers the chance to stock up on candie💫s for less common plant Pokémon like Tangela. Below are all the equinox event raid bosses, courtesy of .
RELATED: Pokémon 𒊎GO Spring Equinox: All ꦫThe Quests And Rewards
Tier 1: Cacnea, Chikorita, Sunkern, Lotad, Shinx
The level one eggs are never amazing, giving the typical garden-variety Pokémon. Lotad might be welcome to those who live in areas where it doesn't rain often. And Shinx is always welcome as it's s🦹till only available via eggs and raids. Still, most of this isn't worth the raid pass you'd✱ spend on it.
Tier 2: Roselia, Grovyle, Exeggutor, Alolan Exeggutor, Mawile
Again, these raids aren't the most enticing. Alolan Exeggcut🅠or is one some newer players could have missed out on. Roselia can be shiny, but it's also constantly spawning in the wild as part of the ev🍸ent.
Tier 3: Tangela, Breloom, Machamp, Alolan Raichu
Not too🌸 many Grass-types in level three. ༒Tangela is a standout here, as it's not the most common Pokémon but still takes 100 candies to evolve. However, it's also available as part of an event research quest. You can do a Tangela raid if you really need the candy, but questing for it is the more cost-effective option.
Tier 4: Shiftry, Absol, Victreebel, Tyranitar, Alolan Marowak
This tier is largely unaffected by the Grass-type event. Both of Shiftry and Victreebel's pre-evolutions are widely available during the event. ♌You can easily catch enough to evolve one of these guys on your own. If you're going to spend a pass for a tier four raid, Tyranitar and Absol are still way better rewards.
Tier 5: Dialga
Legendary raids are often separate from the current event. This holds true ♈for the equinox, as we don't have a Grass-type legendary available yet. There is Celebi, ꦆbut it has its own thing going on with Special Research. So Dialga continues to stand alone. Although it will go away soon, so now's the time to grab it if you don't have one yet.
🐻That's it for raids. Is there anything that caught your eye? Or are you saving your passes for the next special raid event?
