168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Pokémon as a franchise has had many mainline entries in the series since the release of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Pokémon Gold & Silver. Despite that, many consider the second generation of games to be far and away the best in the series. The only other entries that are brought up in the conversation are the impressive Pokémon Black & White titles. The Johto region in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Pokémon Gold & Silver is awesome, but what areas are the best, and which are the worst? Let's now take a look at the 5 coolest and 5 lamest areas in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Pokémon Gold & Silver.
10 ✨ Lame: Bill's Garden
Bill's Garden was the second generation's version of the "Mew is under the truck" rumor from the first set of games. The rumor itself that was spread through schools around the world was that there was a secret garden belonging to Bill that was home to really rare creatures. This was obviously fabricated and led to many heated arguments in the playground during recess. Pokémon has always been super popular so it's likely that there are new rumors that pop up about the latest games, though the internet can squish 🃏their validity pretty quickly.
9 Cool: Th✅e Ruins Of Alph
The Ruins of Alph are special because it's the only place where players can run into the mysterious set of creatures that look like letters called Unown. The ruins themselves offer a bit of a challenge to players, and it takes a certain stubbornness and/or determination to fight through and uncover it all. It isn't as cool or neat as it could have been, but at the same time, it's a unique location that offers lore and context to the world. Pokémon games are most interesting when they inclཧu⛦de these types of elements.
8 🐠 ♑ Lame: Violet City Gym
Th🍌e Violet City gym is home to Falkner, the owner of the Zephyr badge, and apparently a master of the Flying-type. Falkner runs a disappointing gym because he's supposed to be the first impre🧜ssion of the Johto region and all he can muster in terms of a team is a Pidgey and a Pidgeotto.
The game designers did a poor job of making sure theඣ new Pokémon of the Johto region were implemented whenever they could be. Falkner should have been using a Hoothoot and a Noctowl, considering this game takes place in their native region.
7 Cool: Th𝔉e Whirl Islands 💮
The Whirl Islands take what the Ruins of Alph were trying to accomplish and actually nail it. They're full of extensive pathing and will likely require a guide if you're not looking to spend a ton of time exploring and experimenting on your own. It happens to be the location where trainers can come face to face with the legendary Pokémon known as Lugia. For those playing 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Pokémon Silver, it will appear as a level forty, whereas if you happen to be playing 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Pokémon Gold it will show up as an intimidating 🎀level seventy.
6 📖 💟 Lame: Safari Zone
You may be wondering why the Safari Zone is on the lame side of things as it was one of the coolest parts of the original games. The problem is that it is no longer accessible in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Pokémon Gold & Silver which makes it less interesting and/or exciting.
This area allowed trainers to track down and capture some of the rarest Pokémon in the entire region. It also added a secondary level of challenge as you had a set timer that ﷽you fought against when exploring the Safari Zone in hopes of catching rare creatures and finding hidden items.
5 ꦡ Cool: Mt. Mortar
When you happen to be the single location where a popular Pokémon can be captured, you already get major cool 🍌points. Mt. Mortar is the only location where trainers can come across wild Marill, the blue Water-type rodent who was rumored to be called Pikablu before the game's release. Trainers can also get their hands on a level 10 Tyrogue by simply defeating the🔯 Karate King known as Kiyo from Saffron City. Though it's technically optional, most veterans would consider Mt. Mortar worth visiting and exploring.
4 ⛎ 🧜 Lame: Union Cave
Union Cave is an interesting example of a location that was created with every intention of coming off as cool and exciting, but the execution had it turn out as a f💧orgettable and completely missable area. Finding it isn't too hard,🐎 and the challenges inside are average at best. The only reason it is special at all has to do with a very specific timed event. If trainers come back to the cave on a Friday afternoon after defeating the trainer known as Morty, they can run into a Lapras. It's a great Pokémon, but to make a special event surrounding a Kanto Pokémon is slightly disappointing.
3 🐻 Cool: Lake Of Rage ꦍ
For years kids discussed the Lake of Rage as it was the one place where trainers were guaranteed an opportunity to catch a shiny Pokémon. Many kids didn't even know about the existence of shiny versions of Pokémon until they ran into the red Gyarados. Even then many of them thougꦦht it was just a unique event in the story and the idea that there are shiny versions of Pokémon was a foreign concept. The Lake of Rage is also the area where the first big Team Rocket conflict occurs and also the reintroduction of Lance.
2 🧸 Lame: Cianwood City Gym
Earlier the Violet City gym was discussed as being pretty lame in terms of gyms, but the one located in Cianwood City is even more egregious. This city is home to the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Fighting-type gym and its leader Chuck owns and battles with𝔍 a Primeape and a Pol🥃iwrath.
The 2nd gene♊ration is home to some great new Pokémon, with two of them being Fighting-type. It sucks knowing that Heracross and Hitmontop are both in the Johto region and Chuck decided to go with some Kanto brawlers instead of embracing his own region's best fighters.
1 Cool: Kanto 🍬
When everyone became the Pokémon Champion of the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Johto region they assumed their journey was over. The only thing left to do was working on completing the Pokédex and that's pretty much it. The moment they realized yo🐷u could journey back to the Kanto region and defeat the original 8 gym leaders, most kids' minds exploded. To this day this is arguably the most extensive post-game that GameFreak has ever put into a mainline entry in the series, which is pretty heartbreaking.
