What will be the next mainline 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Pokémon game? Will there be a sequel to Pokémon Sword/Shield on the level of Pokémon Ultra Moon/Ultra Sun? Maybe those gam𝐆es will get yet another round of DLC instead. Those are just questions, but rumors are spꦦlit on where the series will be going next.

Some rumors say that Pokémon Diamond/Pearl are g♔etting the remake treatment on Switch while other rumors point t🍎o Pokémon Gold/Silver getting a remake in the style of Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu/Eevee. If the latter rumor is to be true, what are some things that need to be i꧟n the remake, and what should be eliminated? Let's get to the bo꧅ttom of this.

10 Want It: Pokémon Followers

The concept of Pokémon following the player was first introduced in Pokémon Yellow. From there it has sporadica🎃lly been implemented with some generations keeping it and others forgetting altogether. The DS remakes of these games had it, so it should come back. Assuredly it is a lot more programming work, but seeing Pokémon tag along behind the player is oh so cute.

9 Don’t Want: Pokémon GO Integration

Pokémon GO is not as big as it used to be from the Sum💟mer it lau💮nched, but it still has a crazy amount of followers.

It would make sense to integrate some kind of trading feature with these remakes, but that would defeat th🦂e purpose of the journey. Close off any integration with the mobile app and let 💟these games stand tall alone.

8 Want It: Pokégear

The Pokégear was one of the biggest upgrades from 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Pokémon Blue/Red. I𝔍t included a cell phone-like device wherein players could send money to their mom and/or talk to other useful NPCs or even trainers for a rematch. It was the Codec system from Metal Gear in a way and is a must-have for the remake.

7 Don’t Want: Mega Evolutions

Since Mega Evolutions were introduced in Generation VI, aka Pokémon X/Y, six Pokémon from Pokémon Gold/Silver have been featured. Those would be Ampharos, Scizor, Heracross, Houndoom, Steelix, and Tyranitar. They all look cool, but Mega Evolutions are kind of cheesy. Plus they make an already 👍too easy RPG series even simpler. Keep them out.

6 Want It: Stick To 251

Including Celebi, there were 251 Pokémon across Generation II. That was a big leap up from the original games and seemed like too many at the time. Little did fans know ꩵthat amount would get unruly in 2020 with almost a thousand unique Pokémon to catch let alone region-specific versions. Keep it simple for the remakes and just be about the 251.

5 Don’t Want: Let’s Go Battle Simplification

One aspect that should not be simplified are the battles. In the Let’s Go games, battles were ultimately the same, but Game Freak took away the battling aspect of catching Pokémon. It was more like Pokémon GO which was a big letdown for hardcore fans. It may be good for new players, but Pokémon Gold/Silver is t𓆉oo precious to reduce down to t♓hese limitations.

4 Want It: Both Campaigns

The absolute best an💟d most surprising thing 🎃about the original versions was that players could journey to the Kanto region right after they “beat” the game. No game in the series has come close to this feeling.

It may be easier and faster to leave Kanto ou🍌t, but that would ruin the experience and most fans would be upset. The remake would be pointless without it.

3 Don’t Want: DLC Expansions

168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Pokémon Sword/Shield are the only two games to come close to the Kanඣto surprise. That said, the recent island expansions could only be accessed through paid DLC. That may be fine for today’s gaming practices, but it would not fly if Kanto was left out just to be later added as pa💃id DLC. Free DLC may fly better with fans though.

2 Want It: All Improvements Up Until Now

It goes without saying but Pokémon Sword/Shield is the best game in the series mechanically. All of the quality of life improvements like being able to access the Pokémon box easier, or sharing experience made playing these games more enjoyable. These made playing the games faster. As good as the original two generations were, they are hard to go back to now on Game Boy because of how slow they play. Keep Pokémon Gold/Silver the same to an extent while implementing modern mecha💞nics.

1 Don’t Want: Legendary Pokémon Randomization

One of the worst quests in the game involved catching Raikou, Enteiﷺ, and Suicune. If players failed to catch them on their first try they would run away. They would then pop up randomly which players could use the Pokégear to be notified. It was a pain in the butt to track them down. The hunt can be part of the fun in these games, but that was not the case for these Pokémon.
