Solar Beam is one of the riskiest but most powerful moves in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Pokémon. With a one turn delay and 120 power attack, it's t🎉he next best thing to Hyper Beam - except with a grass-type STAB bonus. But really, that's not what you're looking for, because there are even stronger alternatives out there that outmatch Solar Beam and have less risk involved. With that one turn delay, you never know if that opponent has the perfect counter, and you need to attack now to stop it.
Unfortunately, Solar Beam won't do that for you. By the time it's all charged up you would be too late. A simple one turn move is all you could have needed, but it needs that same power paඣcked behind it. Thankfully, those types of grass𝕴 moves are out there and available for your pokémon! Keep reading to check them out.
10 Sappy Seed (90) (Plus Residual) ♚
Like a good investment, this Eevee specific move pays off - it takes 1/8 of a foe's total life points per turn after inflicting nearly the same damage as Solar Beam. This move can really turns the tide in a match even if it doesn't 1 hit KO the♐ opponent, as even if your Eevee gets knocked out, this move will still sap 1/8 total health points from the afflicted opponent.
Solar Beam can be mildly inaccurate, but this move will hit each time to overpower opponents with your spectacularly overpowered Eevee. With Solar beam having to wait a turn to hit, Sappy Seed can hit twice for 180 daཧmage plus 1/8 residual health coming back to your pokémon's health.
9 Wood Hammer (ཧ120) 🐼
Wood Hammer matches the power of Solar Beam without the dela🐷y involved. The big drawback of hitting this powerful move is that it's the grass-type equivalent to Double Edge, where the pokémon wh♔o uses it takes half the damage it inflicts.
You can inflict that same amount of attack as Solar Beam much faster, but it will hurt you to do it.ꩵ So in other words, make sure you use it with a tanky pokémon wh▨o won't get knocked out in one turn if the foe attacks. Otherwise, it would be worthless to use it.
8 ꦛ Petal Dance (120)
Once ꦫthe signature move of the Oddish line, this move has slowly become the grass version of outrage over the years, with its attack being upped to 120 from originally 70, then making the pokémon🍎 who used it confused.
This can be incredibly useful if you just planned on using it for multiple turns anyway, but it has a disadvantage as you lose control of your pokémon for multiple turns. Of cou🐬rse, with confusion there a good chance of your pokémoᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚn knocking itself out. But in turn, you were able to get in multiple 120 hits while Solar Beam went once.
7 🌃 Power 🔜Whip (120)
While this sounds like a move Superman or Wonder Woman would use, this 85% accuracy grass move has the same power as Solar Beam but without the extra🎃 charge time.
Being a physical move it's best to use it on pokémon who would go for Solar Beam anyway, to max out the damage you𝔍 can do with it. But it can be a devastating move when it hits because it has no secondary effects to the pokémo𒀰n using it. It just has to be able to hit, and you can do this as long as your power points will allow it.
6 ⭕ Seed F𒐪lare (120)
And for the last of the equivalent power moves of Solar Beam, Seed Flare is the signature grass move of Shaymin. It has a chance t꧟o lower Sp. Defense by two stages, meaning the next time you use it, it's going to hit even harder.
While the previous moves in the list have some sort of drawback, this move has an advantage𓂃 to it when used. Its accuracy, however, is still 85%, so there a chance it will miss and leave you wide open for an attack. Being how hard Shaymin is to get, it is unlikely most will be able to use it as well.
5 🌸 Solar Blade (125) 𒈔
Much ꧂Like the Beam, Solar Blade takes one turn to charge but considering the amount of physical attacking grass typesﷺ could be a good move to use because of its extra 5 damage compared to Solar Beam.
Its accuracy is 100%, guaranteeing in most situations that you will hit so long as your pokémon can survive the delay time. For a pokémon that comes with the ability of harsh sunlight, this can be fixed and you can be doing that damage all day long. It's best to use this move when you need big damage and have the turn to afford i🃏t.
4 Leaf Storm𝔍 (130)
When it was first released this move had much more insane stats, as it had 140 attack power and could lower defense two stages when hit. Now it is a more consistent move where it instead does a straight 1🦹30 attack. Either way, it is much stronger🦄 than Solar Beam in any scenario.
Most grass types can learn it natuཧrally, by TM, or breeding so it has high availability compared to previous entries on this list. But with an accuracy of 90, there still is a chance of a wasted move.
3 💎 Frenzy Plant (150) ꦏ
The strongest of the learned TM moves, it can mainly only be found with moves tutors. With an attack power ꦬof 150 it can devastate most in one hit, but only your starter can learn it, as a show of the bond you have with it.
Its accuracy is also a 90% as a drawback to this powerful move. And with only 5 power points avai🐬lable, each hit has to count with this move.
2 🍬 Max Overgrowth (Gmax)
This move's power depends on the power of the move before G-maxing your pokémon. In other words, if you♔ have Solar Beam as a learned move, G-max your pokémon and you can use Solar Beam immedi🦄ately.
If iꩲt's Frenzy Pl🐓ant, you can use the boosted stats from G-Maxing your pokémon to do extra damage when using Max Overgrowth. Max Overgrowth has the potential to either be weaker or stronger than Solar Beam based on which move it's based on, but the move will do more damage in Gigamax form than it will in base form.
1 Bloom Doom (Z Move) 𝓀
This move, if based on Frenzy Plant, will do 200 damage. That's 80 more points than a standard Solar Be🎐am without the wait. Much like with the G-Max moves, a Z Move's power depends on the move it's based on.
So even if you had Solar Beam, you'd still be doing 190 damage immediately. The only drawback is that you can only do it 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:once per battle, so you have to really make it count. Or else you'll have to go back to waiting fo🤪r Solar Beam to kick in for the rest of the battle.
