Anyone that has taken a walk through Viridian Forest in the Kanto region certainly felt an eerie similarity when walking through the Santalune Forest in Kalos. The reason being they are ಌexactly the same. This is not the first time the likeness has been brought up. Not only is the layout exact, many of the same pokemon appear, and the same items can be found ꧑in the same locations. Does entering the forest transport the player to a parallel Kanto region? Were both forests made to be the same by humans or Pokémon? Or is this just lazy game design?
2 Where Are The Vending Machines ꦛ ཧ
The Kalos region is interestingly the only region in the main series of Pokémon games to not contain a single vending machine. This is a ve🔯ry strange design choice as vending machines usually play at least a mildly important role. Do the Kalosian people have some unnatural aversion or anger towards vending machines?

Finally, at the end game of Pokemon X and Y the player will have the chance to explore a dungeon lea♛ding them to the legendary pokemon, Mewtwo. While this is clearly a nod to the original game series and the Kanto region, Mewtwo's presence in the Kalos region is never explained from a lore perspective and can leave many players confused.
